Paul and Juice actually deserved their Academy award. Maybe not for that one specific song from the movie, but for the decades of bad ass sounds.

We grew up listening to these tapes and burnt CD's in Chicago (Alongside our legendary Chicago artists that most sleep on), sent via mail straight from a music service, direct from Memphis. All throughout the mid 90's to mid 2000's. We always called these "Mix Tracks".. As in, it's a dope beat, but not quite an instrumental either.. They were a "mix" of all the good shit. But the most important thing about these mix tracks were that they were the best tracks for hanging with friends.. in a basement, in a garage, wherever you chill, smoke and vibe out to dope music as a young kid/teen and whatnot. These old school cuts were legendary, long before the 666 hype took over the basic folks. I was there when "When The Smoke Clears" came out and we all thought "666 is going mainstream".. LOL. Old school baby. This track takes me back.. Everybody's gone now. My old crew I grew up with listening to this and the artists themselves.. ..... .... ... .. .
