Use to play this with my band from Philly when i was in college. We always had a helluva good time and never failed to move the crowd. Kool and the Gang was the preeminent instrumental funk band of the late 60's, early 70's and this live version is killer. I said whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa , whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa yeah!

I was a little boy being turned on to this music in 1973, 74 about ten years old (do the math). I'm a drummer. I know why call him "KOOL" That music is so cool and funky. My brother's and I used to have such a good time immitating this group, , zapp, dazz band, Confunkshun, cameo, earth wind and fire, LTD, the barkays, the commodores, ,brick, chic, the list goes on, Rufus, the brothers Johnson, Graham central station . Quincy Jones aww bruh, average white band. I can go all night 😎

the sad thing is they have a huge catalog...... they have over 30 top charting hits.... in a situation like that you just have to hope they play your favorite song.... they had many hits with JT and before him
