Please keep uploading videos. I'm obsessed with the Komondor and you are the only person who has been making good quality videos. How about one of them playing outside or something?

+Scott Zaborski Thank you! I have uploaded one of him howling and one of his "playing" frisbee.

Puppy Komondor are kind of nuts. My guy just turned and is really starting to calm down. He may nibble my hand a little, but he is super sweet. It’s never to harm. Just need to give him some treats.

Trimming around the paws goes a lot faster if you hold the paw first and trim the excess beyond the pads and then trim while the foot is on the ground. Also you shouldn't use a mat splitter, its looks a whole lot better and more natural if you find the natural separation in the cords at the end and split by hand. And please don't trip around the eyes, I know there is a myth that it may cause premature cataracts if the dog is exposed to the sun for a prolonged time, but its a kom and the looks so much cooler if you just ponytail the head hair in a hair tie.

+sienasiena Thank you for all of your great advice! I really appreciate it. We are now beyond having to use any tools to split cords and I can do all by hand (this video is almost a year old now). In the past I have split the majority of his cords by hand as it does look better, but sometimes, some need to be started with the mat splitter and then the rest can be split by hand. The hair on his head is now long and I put it up in a ponytail as you have suggested. I do have to trim right above the eyes as he has excessive tearing if I don't, and he has bumped into all sorts of things and has trouble going down the stairs if I don't.

I’ve been told about the cataracts thing. But I can’t find any real evidence showing one way or another. The AKC states it’s a rumor, so I believe them. Glad people who know more than me are backing that up.

We had working dogs and very seldom ever groomed them. There were ten of them with our herd of goats.

Do you have any advice on how to start the cords? Our guy was shaved down about 6 weeks ago. And is starting to really grow out. I’m using a dematter to prevent him from matting again like he was before. I’m trying to start the cords, but not sure if I’m doing it right

I keep the rear end shaved, so it doesn't become an issue. The same as one would do with any long haired dog.

I am not much of a narrator and figured the visuals along with the descriptions would be sufficient. I was simply tidying him up a bit.
