RULES EDIT: Kommando Snipa Boy - 'Av it - each shot using this action has -2 from the number of shots not each 'subsequent shot' as it's played in this game.

I have always interpreted that rule wrong, haha. I think this might have been the second game I've had the chance to use it in. The Snipa really wants those 6 shots.
FINALLY a Kill Team with a good Vet Guard roster thank you!
Your graphics and editing make this type of batrep (which could otherwise be a little boring) really entertaining and easy to follow. Great stuff

One last comment from me. It is very minor, however the audio from the Ork player mostly comes from the left, where the Vet Guards are placed. And The Vet Guard audio is mostly from the right. :)
This was great fun! The background sounds of the tournament are strangely soothing while painting some KT barricades :D

Very nice to see these grizzled bespoke teams still getting action. I’m TOing a small tournament tomorrow, and I know we have at least one Vet Guard team taking a crack at it!

That topographical chart equipment, selecting fortify then dash (obviously map dependant) was a great move to get the sniper up on a vantage pre game like think the vet guard can still get the job done 💪

How did veterans put barricade on vantage and dashed unit with fly? Only barricade during scouting phase can be placed upon vantage

@@ihacom Im guessing you;ve not used the critical ops pack? they updated the scouting phase dash has fly and you can place a barricade on a vantage point

The Demolition Veteran using the mine to shoot at the Nob who's within engagement range of a friendly operative, is this legal? The Detonate ability do say that any operative within 3" (friendly and enemy) is a valid target. But does this override the rule of not being able to shot at an enemy who has a friendly within its engagement range?

It’s legal. There’s a lot of weird little things with the demo vet, he can blow himself up with it as well

So. In kill team, the astra militarum infantry are no longer used only as walls of meat? Now they are capable of killing something? I was sad to see battle reports in 40k where this faction with such great lore and aesthetics was always devastated (infantry only) and 90% of the casualties were caused only by vehicles. How can you have twenty guys shooting laser weapons and not make a single scratch?
Would he not had to spend 2 CP on the last Remote Mine because of Take Aim?

Seems Take Aim doesn't work on the remote mine: "This order has no effect on shooting attacks made with the mortar barrage and remote mine ranged weapons, or attacks made with tactical assets."
End of T3 prediction. Vet guard wins! Demo gets another kill and Komandos fail to stop seize ground

Can you re-roll a command point re-roll?

I dont think so, you can do more than one command reroll in a phase and you dont have to reroll the dice at the same time you could reroll 1 miss and if you had any other misses and still werent happy you could then choose to reroll again, which i think is what happened in this match

@@GFNGaming I thought they re-roll a re-roll at the end of turn 1, which I didn't think you could. I might be wrong about it though and misunderstood what happened. Thanks.

@@Maeggoel I tihnk i know the bit you mean, with the krak into the comms boy - He does say 'i'll re roll again' but he had 2 misses and basically re-rolls both separately. so no double re-roll.

I’m confused, if vet guard uses rosary, the y they parry, orc hits, vet parry. The orc only land 1 normal. Vet guard hero should be up

11:20 I think it'd just be easier for you to watch it again they talk through it. Orc hits, used rosary to negate damage, then hits with crit, orc just a scratches, orc then has 3 hits left hits, the vet hits and then the next hit from the orc kills him

@@GFNGaming that’s what I meant sorry I watched it a few time on my tv non sub. But if the orc hits and vet rosary’s it’s a error to hit with the crit at all, vet should parry off all damage and live no?

@@Will-zc8cq Gotcha the power klaw is brutal so can only parry with a crit. So leader is dead and can only strike.

Did the Kommando player use Sneaky Git twice? Can't you use a tactical ploy only once per turning point?

@@FlameJackstar sometimes even 3 times. You use it before the first turning point so you can use it many times
Pretty sure you can only Sneaky Git Once at the start of the game. (As a Kommando player I would love to be able to sneak up 2 of the blighty gitz but I believe tac ops are limited to one use per phase unless otherwise stated)

you can use it as many times as you have CP: On pg 58 of the core rules: “if a tactical ploy is not used during a turning point, it is only limited by the number of command points you have.” The setup operatives phase is outside of the turning point so you can use it multiple times. So it sounds like your Kommando team just got better :D

@@GFNGaming Russ is on top of it! You are definitely allowed to do this more than once because it happens outside of a game phase! That being said, I don't like spending for Sneaky Git more than once because it drains your CP so heavily to start the game...
I haven't finished the video yet, but the constant Vet Guard measuring for the Gunners (to the Medic, I assume?) seems meaningless to me: there's no way that they could be inside the 3" revive range, as the Octarius terrain is all >3" minimum height. It doesn't matter how close the models are horizontally, the vertical distance already is outside range of the Medic.
