Yea but Davoth was only a pawn. At the end of Doom 64 a powerful being sent the Doom Slayer away from Hell to Argent Dnur which was another universe and Davoth didnt even know that, actually none of them knew that. Davoth and Vega belived that they were the gods of everything aka the Father but that's false. Khan Maykr only knew that the Slayer lost his family and his rabbit Daisy to the demons during Doom 2 events now thats more interesting. How can she know that ? When not even Davoth nor Vega knew that. Next game will answer alot of questions and he will probably go back to his own Universe to kill that powerful demon being that sent him away from hell. He might even go to Doom 3 universe beacuse of the Soul Cube

@@lightmohamed5700 he was more fun to me than the twin guardians in 2016, but he wasn't exactly as cracked as Samur the Squidward angel. He punishes you really hard for your mistakes, but falls apart very quickly if you are consistent with damaging him at the right time and know how to use the hammer. It kinda feels like dueling someone with the armor powerup in quake and winning. But you should see for yourself tbh

Honestly, his work on Amid Evil definitely tops this.

Making Devoth a five phase boss was a clever idea.

I feel like all of these OST’S mixed into one is showing the Player (The Slayer) of how far you have gone, From endlessly killing demons to finally ending Hell’s Wrath by killing the Dark Lord.

I think the greatest part about Davoth’s design is that it implies he created Doomguy in his image with the intention of fighting him as his only equal one day.

It's probably why he was so graceful after he loses. He knew that the Slayer would be both his vengeance against the things that betrayed him and the one to face him in the end. He knew that one of them would die, and that was that.

Davoth's revival means he could basically be in a form of his choosing (considering his power and all), which means he probably intentionally mimicked the Slayer, as it was the form of THE strongest warrior around. Besides, what greater way is there to antagonize and confuse the hell out of your opponent than to copy their looks?

Davoth fights for revenge, Slayer does it for humanity. And thats why the Slayer won.
