The home where our parents and our memories live! Its amazing to be there again each time. Decade old things, Furniture and unused things ... Homely fud we always miss,... For a sourh indian like me a seeing a new type of food that is with abundant of fish...fish in almost all dishes. Loved it ..😊😊

These sarees are cotton ones made on a power loom, Diya. Handloom made sarees cannot be massed produced as artisans knit them painstakingly for days.

Lovely lovely vlog. Someone said authentic and raw and i second that. I know nothing about kolkata but you showed us what a typical Bengali family is like,the home cooked food,the kitchen and cooking,street food,shopping,sarees,language,parents being their natural selves ,the authentic ,no frills home etc etc. LOVED IT

Couldn’t ask for a more authentic and raw video.. this was amazing. Bangalir machch bhat khawa kokhono ses hoyena… love how you devoured the roadside chowmein phuchka mishti… hats off to dada to be taking care of the kids while you could take this time out. Nothing beats Kolkata style biriyani with meat and aloo. ❤

To be honest, I was born and brought up in a small town called Haflong in Assam. But few years back, my parents decided to relocate to Kolkata for better medical facilities. And now, this is home. Since they have shipped everything from my ancestral home to here in Kol. It’s easier to visit them now, then before where I had to change many means to reach home. Home is where heart is, is indeed true. Home is where my parents live. 🙂
