We will answer them all here in the comments A few clarifications in case there was any confusion: - Since the video was filmed we increased the prize of the premium version from 4.99£ to 9.99£ per year as we are putting in an immense amount of development time to extend the app. We also already released the reminder functionality as a new premium feature and the PC version is coming soon :) - All units (e.g., hardness in mg/l or °dH) can be changed via the settings at any time and the already entered values will be converted to these units. Only the prize entered in a certain currency does not update automatically as there is no fixed conversion formula for that. - In case you were wondering why the nitrate values were not displayed in the graph when Darren selected nitrate: they were displayed in a separate graph with a different y-axis scaling which would have been visible after scrolling down or after collapsing the selection at the top - The CO2 value in the water parameters is computed automatically from the pH value and the carbonate hardness based on their chemical relation so you don't need to measure it yourself - The weight of the koi is estimated automatically after entering the length but you may update this value at any time in case you know a more precise figure due to your own measurements @Dazzle Koi: Again, thank you very much for the video. We will change the abbreviation from CH to KH (we did not know that you also use the German abbreviation) ;)

Thanks mate, yeah I agree, when you think about what you can get for £9.99 these days its a real bargain. Could eat that much worth of macdonalds very easily and have nothing to show for it.

Hiya, good to see you back, we love your channel, its my "go to" for real advice. We are relatively new to the hobby with only 3 or 4 years real experience and your channel has been a great help when we set up a new koi only pond ( we had been really lucky with previous pond for 12 years). Regarding the app, Just started using it and it has everything I need to capture the details of my pond and fish. It seems easy to add and edit pond and fish details. The notes section for pond treatments or individual fish comments is spot on. I look forward to the desktop version so I can see the data in different formats. I don't have enough data in yet to assess the use of the charts but I like the principles. Perhaps an additional section for the pond where you can capture all the individual kit involved including wattage and warranties, so running costs can be estimated and all records are in one place if your kit fails etc. Sorry for long post. Big fan of your stuff.

Hi Rachel and thank you very much 👍👍👍 I like that idea a lot. Keeping track of warranties is a nightmare so if you can put purchase dates and maybe a photo of the receipt that would be really useful. The cost calculator would be great to. You would need to enter your electricity cost and then it could calculate your monthly/yearly running costs. Would be helpful when choosing new pumps and things to as you could compare running costs for several pumps. If the guys don't acknowledge this post I'll pass it on to them visa email

Great to see you back looking well buddy, nicely detailed video and i shall be downloading and subscribing to the app. It looks a fantastic tool and with me and my disability my memory is poor so this will be an amazing asset. I’ve actually had this downloaded for about a month now but never got around to using it yet but as you have gone through it I think I should take the time to set it up properly 👌🏽

Hi Daz. I.ve been using the app mor and more and still like it, I've created a new pond record to keep the history of my tap water checks, I named the pond "Tap Water" I'll feed this back to the app team too but thought I would share with you too

I’ve been using the app for a while now. Since mid last year some time. I think it is a good app, it keeps everything you need on there and it’s easy to use, I find. One thing I feel is that, I paid for the app originally, albeit only £4, but I feel that that year should have been honoured but I’m now getting the subscription message before the year is up. I will do it as £9.99 isn’t exactly expensive but just a small gripe for me.

Thanks for your feedback! I gather you bought the app with a one-time purchase from the app store for £4 last year, right? Since then we switched to a freemium model. As you initially paid for the app you have a "premium lite" version which gives you access to all premium features that were available when you purchased the app with the old pricing model (e.g., the food calculator, adding multiple ponds, and adding growth entries to your koi). New premium features such as the salt calculator and the reminders can be unlocked with a subscription to the premium plan. Sorry, if there was any confusion here. This is also explained on the account page of the app which you can access via the "person" icon in the top right

@@DazzleKoi £3.99 was the original price to download the app. Perhaps it wasn’t a subscription at that point maybe? I kind of just assumed as it’s now on a subscription basis and free to download. Like I say it’s not a lot of money and not the end of the world.

Not for me personally but for chaps like u n koirun who love their records and stats it sounds ok. I initially thought it was an app that worked off some sort of sensor that gave u all of the vital parameters at the touch of ur phone. That at a reasonable price wud be an app for me 👍🐟

Its nice to see you are doing the videos again which are always interesting. Could I ask a question about food...are you still using the hikari wheatgerm and what makes you use it all year instead of say hikari balance during the warmer months. Have you found good growth and good colouration with the hikari wheatgerm. I was thinking about using the hikari wheatgerm during the winter and the hikari balance during the summer months.

Hi Keith, yes I'm still on hikari wheatgerm. I feed it all year round once koi are beyond 2 years old. I give them higher protein when they are younger as I believe they need it and can assimilate it then. In my opinion, protein levels much above hikari wheatgerm cant be utilised and just end up as pollution in your water. I see good growth with it and they keep their body, colour etc better as they are not being pushed hard. I think the quicker you finish a koi the sooner it starts to decline. Also, my water stays spot on so their appetites are always sky high. Balance is a good option over the summer though if you are not convinced.

Hi, looks good and a balanced review, a bit padding re the pond I'm sure no one is likely to forget how many bottom drains they have etc. i downloaded N.V.N which appears far more basic but can add fish details & weights etc.🤓

I think it’s a great app, and will be using from now on. my only criticism would be that the food calculator makes no correlation to filters and their ability to manage the amount of food, I think it may be a good idea to add a filter tab to see if the filters can actually handle the amount of food the calculator is advising you put in. It’s gone for me as I know what my filters can handle, however some may not. All in all great bit of kit to have
