    Thanks for this video. Probably the best video showing how to remove and replace this carburetor. The explanation of the linkage was also the most complete I have seen on video's. I will be saving this video for future reference. Thanks again for a great video.

    I pulled the carb and it was dirty and needed to be cleaned. But that wasn't the issue. I pulled the float and main jet, cleaned some rust out of the bowl, but couldn't get any air to pass through the fuel inlet. Tried several times to clear the blockage, then went back and watched the video again. When I started the pressure washer up I put both levers in the same direction. That turned the choke on, BUT turned the fuel off! LOL I finally went back and watched the video again and it dawned on me that the fuel was shut off. Thanks again for the video.

    Thanks for such a well done video. I have the exact motor and! I would not have attempted this until I saw your demonstration which made it so easy to follow. I was able to get my motor started up again after cleaning the carburetor.

    Thanks Frank! Like the fellow below I have a Kohler pressure washer that wouldn't run. After carb disassembly I put everything in the ultra-sonic and reassembled. There's also a screw out filter in the tank which I cleaned. Runs great now, really appreciate your help.

    Great video. Have a pressure washer with the exact engine and carb. Just wouldn't run..... Thanks to your detailed video, I took out the carb and gave it a good cleanup. Put it all together and it started on the first pull. Thanks again....

    Thanks for the video. I started the pressure washer this AM and it ran for about a minute and shut down. Either bad fuel or carb needs cleaned, I guess. I like to check for videos that show the dis-assembly process first before tearing into something. Thanks again.

    I got a new carb. The plastic part with the priming bulb doesn’t suck up any gas. What should I look at? It came with a new one (large black plastic part that levers go through). It’s clean. It had an insert that snapped through the hole that mounts to the carb that the original didn’t have so I removed it. It isn’t in your video either so it must have been for shipping.

    Great video. I like the way you explain what you’re doing. Do you know where to buy and what size the O rings that go on the black plastic pilot jet? If you know a part number that would be great. I’m looking to buy about 30 if amazon sells them.

    Great video. I bought a log splitter brand new put it in the barn 2 years ago never touched it. Now fired it up won't start. Ended up taking that bowl off full of rust. I can't get unit to start at all. All I did was buy it never ran it. Is the carb fixable or wasted???? Also not sure if the inside of fuel tank is rust?.

    Great video, next time please show how to clean the idle jet under the low speed adj. screw. If plugged it will cause surging or delay in response. I see lots of them plugged in my shop and sometimes I even have to drill them out a size to two. Thanks

    It was drained out of gas last spring. It did start and run a few minutes. Went to loping tried to adjust and it died. Flooded left to dry, went back the tank was dry , open ck oil and the gas was in oil, how would it get in with not running?

    I actually have a Craftsman M270 mower with a Honda clone engine on it and it's the 159cc engine and it has electric start on it that uses a Craftsman V20 battery for the electric start to work

    Have Hohler 3000 SH255 6.5 hp, looks same. The issue is the throttle control does NOTHING when moving level back and forth. It idles great and will idle until it runs out of gas if you let it. But, moving the throttle arm back and forth does NOT change engine speed? Cleaned carb and jet and linkages are all connected correctly? Any ideas?

    I recently purchased a used wood splitter with this motor on it, when I put it up to almost full throttle it starts surging bad any idea what could cause that

  • @waynejohnson9119

    @waynejohnson9119

    I had the same issue on a used log splitter. The problem comes from the idle jet. It is very simple to get at. There is a plastic screw that is used to set the idle throttle. You take that screw out and underneath it will be a plastic plug that drops into the top of the carb. Either use a thin flathead screw drive or needle nose pliers and work that out of the carb body. Then clean it from the bottom up with a thin copper wire or thin wire brush wire. At 16.20 in the video you can see his left thumb and look carefully at that plastic screw and under that screw is where the idle jet sits. That is the cause of a surging engine with this carb.
