There’s not many koenigsegg dealers around. As for Ford I have like 5 in 10miles range of me. The manufacture needs to support the dealer with service. No dealers, no sales. One hand washes the other.

@@FishFind3000 Dealerships or not, software updates after buying a car isn't a regular thing. Basically only Tesla offers those i believe.

@@FishFind3000 the total of their cars overall just around 300 units. They don't need that much dealers since just a handful of people can afford their cars. As far as I am aware, when a car has a problem or need a maintenance, and if it can't be solved by a dealer, or just too far away, Koenigsegg would send out their own mechanic and engineer to fix it.

@@budokpantai That I know, after re reading my comment it seemed like I was talking more about koenigsegg but I was referring more to ford and other major automotive company's. Since ford dealers are everywhere why would they want you to have the ability for over the air updates... that cuts out the middle man, The dealer! They want some money to. But with koenigsegg there are no dealers so if you need some work done either the car goes back to Sweden or someone from Sweden is coming to you. Having an over the air updating process will make it easier for everyone and I'm sure the customer will enjoy having new features added to older cars. Plus if they learn something new and can adapt that to older cars to make them better, why not. Its not like there gonna loose a ton of business from making their old cars better.

Big question is where is he going to run the top speed demonstration? Highway 160 near Las Vegas gets a bit too windy for 300 mph runs I believe. That's where he broke the record before four years ago.

Who wishes to meet him at least once? And casually, I got a beach shirt similar to his.

I met him personally one time on a flight to Sweden. I was the Aircraft mechanic working his flight and saw him casually sitting in first class. Very cool guy, I invited him to the flight deck and showed him around. I was star struck 🤩 and never asked him for a factory tour.

I was introduced to him by his wife back in 2015 and I was lucky enough to spend 45 minutes just being car nerds at a car show in Sweden. They're wonderful people and I really hope you'll be able to meet them sometime!

I like the fact that they made a video about firmware update literally with little editing and some dude with a phone for a camera recording Koenigsegg talking without a mic in sight. Usually brands go all out and spend $10K to made a video on that there's a firmware update.
