    Kodo millet is the name in English. I have no idea about what's its called in arabic. Everyone across the world can consume it for the innumerous health benefits that they have. If you are having trouble locating them, then do try buying them from a local indian grocery store otherwise online buy it from Amazon.

  • @nurturinghomes

    millets are drying in nature, so if you don't add poha then idli's will not come out to be soft and dosa would be rubbery kind. If you still want to skip poha, try adding dahi instead, (dahi has to be added after the fermentation is done, that is just when you are ready to cook). That might help.

    Everything is good and perfect but you have used too much water for soaking millet . We can’t use so much water for grinding and the extra water ( full of nutrients from millet ) gets wasted unless we use it for some other purpose like kneading atta etc. for soaking millet doesn’t need so much water .

  • @nurturinghomes

    @nurturinghomes

    Жыл бұрын

    yes you are correct. soaked water can be used for kneading doughs, cooking curries, etc I never mentioned that its wasted. you can surely opt to add less water while soaking
