    I love your shop, maybe someday that would be feasible for me. I sure do have enough toys to fill it! I was between the bighorns and the Kenda bear claw HTR. You know something buddy! You're always teaching me something. What a great idea to go with 2 different tires. I always thought of that being a big no no. But I guess as long as the radius are equal. I don't think it should be a problem. We have the bighorn originals on our Renegade and the rears grab really good but we were never real happy with the fronts not being a directional tire. With your setup you have best of both worlds. I have bearclaws all around which are a directional tire and I've noticed the bighorns tread pattern has a slightly better bite on wet grass. Thanks for the tip and great choice of tires. BTW, your Renegade looked like it needed tires more than the other two machines. lol.

    Hey, Frankie! It’s funny I agree with everything you said. We are thinking the same thing. I didn’t like the 2.0 tread pattern for the front either. I think the 3.0 on the front will do really well in most conditions. I would have went with the 3.0 for the rear. But looking at the specs it is a wider and heavier tire. They got the load capacity way up on the 3.0’s to carry the weight of a side-by-side. I felt the ride quality would suffer if I put 3.0 on the rear. I do like the tread pattern on the bearclaws but they are heavier and with our machines been so under powered wanted to go with the lightest tire. Our buddy Herm has bearclaws on his sportsman 850 he really likes them but they are a little heavier. Thanks for checking out the video buddy appreciate it!!!

    Hi, Terry . Our first time out with the new tires was the weekend of March 30. Should have the first videos of that series ready to post next week.They seem to do really well impressed how they handle the mud. The only thing I am a little disappointed is the 3.0’s do not ride as good as the 2.0’s. They have a more heavy duty build since they have the load rating way up on the 3.0’s Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment!!

    Unlike you, I love the tread pattern of the 2.0 and I think they are a great pattern for the terrain you guys normally ride on & I think you'll be surprised how good they are in the mud. But I also like the 3.0 tread pattern, especially those front ones. I think your choice for both front and rear was a good one. They don't need to be the same tire. Lot'a gruntin' & groanin' goin' on when you were putting on that first tire - LMAO! You must be over 50 - HAHAHAHA!!!! "That eh was for you Canadian fellers" - LMAO! my bighorn 3.0 front tires wandered horribly at 25 mph on anything that wasn't perfectly flat at anything less than 15 psi on my 2011 sportsman 800 . they also beat the crap out of me at 15 psi on anything that wasn't perfectly flat. great traction either way, but I need something that can handle safely with less pressure(5-7psi). I would like your opinion after putting on some miles. what kind of terrain do you ride?

  • @kcatv9556

    @kcatv9556

    5 жыл бұрын

    thomas rheault .. we’ve been on two trips with these tires so far and I’ll give you my thoughts. I will start with dislikes,first off they do have a slight vibration at anything above 30 or so. Not really pleased with that. They are more heavy-duty than I would’ve liked. The carcass I mean. I really think they’re built more for a side-by-side which is a shame you can’t hardly find tires specifically for a quad. They are 2 pounds heavier than the 2.0‘s that I just bought for the front of my machine. That’s disappointing as well. I don’t really notice them wandering around at any speed. Although I don’t ride that machine that’s the wife’s quad so?. What I do it like about them is the traction they seem to do really well in the mud. To get a good ride out of them we are running at 5 psi I just bought a set a tires for my machine and went with 2.0’s front and rear. I probably won’t buy another set of the 3.0’s Live and learn I would say. Hope that helps you out thanks for watching much appreciated!!

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Riley great question I’m surprised you’re the only one who has ever asked me about this. The short answer is (no) I would not buy the 3.0‘s again. Let me explain to you why. Here’s what I like about the 3.0‘s the tread pattern is great on the front tires. They give you much more steering traction than the 2.0 front tires do. Also they are holding up really well and not wearing out very fast. Now for what I don’t like, they are slightly shorter than the 2.0 tires which isn’t a big deal but it is something to think about. Also they are a much heavier the carcass is much more heavier built than the 2.0 tires which doesn’t give you quite as good of ride. The side walls are much more stiff than the 2.0 tires. I think they where built to be used on side-by-side’s. They basically have the feel of a car tire which would be more suited for the weight of a SXS. I would not put them on a quad again too heavy, but that’s just my opinion. Hope that helps you out great question thanks for checking out the video!
