Kodaline is literally so underrated. Although I really want them to get the fame they deserve, I kind of like how they're not too famous. Their gigs feel so much more intimate than bigger bands' and there are not tons of bodyguards surrounding them when us fans want to talk to them, you know.

As my 15 year old cousin was taken off life support this song was playing from her playlist on her phone. Hearing this song brings me back to that moment... That moment when my heart broke into a million pieces, when everything changed, and a part of me went missing that will never return. Although it hurts, I listen to this song often it breaks me but heals me at the same time.

I really feel for you, I discovered Kodaline at the Isle of Wight festival, and this song has always been a favourite of mine. I played it once too often, apparently, when my husband joked from another room, "And I've never heard that song before"! He died last year, so this song will always remind me of him. Bitter sweet.

How is this better than the music video? Natural sound makes it sound so much more warmer :)

I think his voice is very old style. He sings his pain. The pain directs the notes. He's very good. I like watching the way they move and some of the dance movements which clearly reflects their Irish heritage. His voice is mournful. I love the way they stomp out the pain. I know at times I've wanted to do the same thing. It's truly awesome.

This video shows how a talented band can sing a beautiful rendition of their song without needing all of the "bells and whistles". kudos to the person(people) behind this technique.

It was magic.

I adore all the live versions of the song that we can find from KZread channel. But this one is one of a kind. I enjoy this one in the extreme. It is my breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper, snack, and all that.

This song reflects the departure in a way i never heard before "If you loved me Why you leaved me" how things really never change or ends, just transforms. this song makes me think not only on the time they broke my heart, but the ones i've broke we have being at least once on both side, either left someone with a broken heart, or being left alone wondering why it ended. is a life changing song, a roller coaster of emotions, and yet is not depressing, it bring you down in the first line, and bring you back to life, to stand up and fight i mean, words are not enough to explain the deepness, great Kodaline!!!

Almost 10 years ago, as a mildly depressed kid I stumbled upon this song, at a time where it is still to me, lowest point of my life. This song had ripped my heart open, to think that I was undeserving of love from someone I thought could finally see I am worth it. I was resentful, lost, and doubting my worth. Eventually this songs and many songs in that Kodaline album, had helped me heal, with a change of environment and a recovery from depression. 10 years later, funny enough, I am in the same spot again, but with a 6 years relationship on the line. This song still shouts to me the same pain, but luckily also offers the same comfort. If she has really decided to go, all I want now and then is for her to be happy.

Good music can make sadness bearable.

I found this video to be simply spectacular. I just adore and love how they managed to take this song that, at least sounds, to have a lot of effects going on in the studio and condense it to the vocals, guitar, tambourine, and stomping in the room and making it that much more raw and the emotion so much more prominent is just so amazing. I think that everyone needs to and should watch this. This video is a perfect example of less is more as well as that you don't need to have a song with so many instruments and things going on to have a good track, of anything this video contradicts that theory I've heard. Well, I know what I'll be showing my music teacher!

Their live versions are my absolute favorite! You can really feel the heart that went into the songs.

I called her again for 3 times, but she chose not to answer. For 3 weeks, I tried everything I can to make it up to her but she chose not to give me a chance. I wanted to rebuild our relationship so bad, but she chose to walk away. I cannot fight for it anymore. This song gave me a glimpse of the future. That this might be ought to happen because a completely different person is meant for me. Who will choose me when things are falling apart. This comment made me think of walking away from someone who never even chose to walk and meet me even halfway. I got tired, too. I was just pouring in every effort I had. If there's only one person on the boat and you drown from it sinking, well, I'm sorry, and I hope you're good with God. Rather, a boat sinking had 2 people, and only one of them tried endlessly to keep them both a float... we know how that story ends.
