after watching lot's of manga comic youtube channels I can confidently disagree, some people might want to adopt a child for attenttion ,or releave stress on them, consider him/her as a toy or smt for there real child, they just want someone who will do all their chores ,etc Edit: (since so many people can't get the sarcasm here this is a joke I know people aren't ALL like that irl but some are)

I'm sure that's part of it, but I have to assume it's sometimes just an emotional overload from a sudden identity crisis. It can take a while for children to develop a strong identity independent of their family, and suddenly being told that they've been lied to and they aren't who they always believed themself to be can be a lot to take in.
