Man, so hard to watch this but so many wonderfully positive things to see in this video. First, Kobe and the other coaches really did a phenomenal job of coaching the fundamentals. I liked the smile on Kobe’s face when his point guard was pressuring the ball handler and stole the ball for an easy lay up. Loved to see the girls executing an offensive scheme with sharing the ball. They were splashing jumpers all over. His love and respect for the game was being instilled in Gigi and the other girls. To me, that’s a greater mark left than all the NBA accolades. RIP Kobe and Gigi

Man...watching this video and seeing the interaction with Kobe and these young women especially with his daughter Gigi...she was next up to carry on the legacy of the Bryant name. Keeping my thoughts and prayers to the Bryant family and to the families of the ones whom lost their lives on that tragic day. Rest easy to Kobe, Gigi and everyone who were there.

@@nornay89 the helicopter was not in rapid descent, the flight route is on youtube for you to verify the fact. it literally flew straight into a hilltop. nobody on the heli saw it coming due to fog. the pilot was flying via instruments. this is an incredibly sad and unfortunate event but it was a relatively quick, fearless and painless death, unlike months of suffering from cancer like most people die from.

Ngl 10 was blasting when they played the red team. Her scoops were on point from everywhere

These young ladies were so skilled and they weren't even in h.s. yet. Alyssa was a solid SG/PG combo. Gigi was basically her dad. Payton was a big that could hit the 3 and play the arc very well. They had nothing but growth ahead of them on the court. It's so heartbreaking still. Kobe and Christina had an elite young team.

The girls were really playing as a team. Everyone on the team was getting opportunities to score. No one was "hogging" the ball!!!

It's so painful to see the 3 girls who passed away, and Kobe and the coach next to him too, all gone. I hope their souls are resting with God 😪

I'm sitting here watching this clip and trying not to cry. Kobe is so proud of his girls. Gigi would have done such an awesome job balling. Sigh. Rip to all that were lost. 💜💛

He adored his daughter. Hes a legend in to spend quality time coaching her tells alot about the man.

Kobe got us watching 12-15 yr old girls playing basketball... layups and jumpers only.. kobe 🐐🐐

Early, when reports were scarce And i first saw that Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash,the first thing I thought about was his family, but especially Gigi. I thought about how devastated she must be because it was clear she was a daddy’s girl and they spent so much time together. And I thought about all of the photos of these two at games and as a hawks fan I thought about these two on the sideline when we played in Brooklyn and in LA. When I learned that she was with her father, as she always seemed to be, I was just heartbroken. It’s bad enough for a family to lose a father and husband, but a daughter and sister in the same moment.... damn. Then I thought about Kobe. Knowing you’re in danger and about to lose your own life it’s inexplicably hard, but to be with your 13 year old daughter. Your best friend, to have her life flash before your eyes is ......unfathomable. I imagine that he was holding her as close as he could. Hoping that his body could protect her from any damage. Horrible way to die and that’s what makes it such a tragedy. As a man who doesn’t have any sons, just a young daughter, I thought the work that Kobe was doing for woman’s basketball was going to be historic. There was an NBA legend deeply invested into the growth of it, that had the influence, cache, financial backing to revolutionize the sport. And he had his number one pupil, a potential star who could’ve done for women’s basketball what magic, bird and Jordan did for the nba, the mambacita, which would have been a brilliant brand. I’ve seen him show support for young girls who can ball across the country as well as invest his time and energy into coaching and being involved with woman’s youth basketball, knowing that, while his daughter building her brand would be big, but influencing generations of young girls to become better ballers would be essential to accomplishing what he saw as the future of woman’s basketball. I was excited to see it unfold, and to lose it all in an instance is very sad and sobering.

From what I've read it was most likely pilot error caused by bad visibility. Seems like the pilot was flying too low, couldn't see and hit the side of a mountain. It's so sad that it happened. I hope there was no suffering, panic or pain and they just hit the mountain and all died instantly. If any of them had to suffer that would be all the more awful.

Tomas Vavila bro Lavar use to feed and give some of his players a place to live. A lot of the kids he’s coached are now getting D1 scholarships. You can’t say he doesn’t care when he’s helping them that much.

I'm tearing up big time watching this doting , yet tempered/low key father, proudly enjoying his daughters skill and drive. The pain that family is enduring is more than any young girls and wife should ever have to endure. I faced something like this in my life and it is so sudden, ...and so final. I'll never lose that feeling of wishing there was one more hug, one more i love you. My pain and empathy for all involved is dredging up fresh feelings. I truly only wish that EVERYONE starts praying for EVERYONE!

The others on the helicopter were 2 girls from the team (Payton and Alyssa, who are both in this video as well), Payton's mom, Alyssa's mom and dad, and the assistant coach (the lady sitting next to Kobe in this video). I can't even imagine what this team and the victims' families are going through 😞
