If you ever question his greatness, just take a look at the scoreboard during most of these plays. He had to make these plays to be a winner so he just did it and made it look so easy. The left handed corner shot and behind the backboard shot were especially impressive to me.

I mourn the future that he didn't have, nor his daughter, nor the other victims of the crash. So much potential lost. I pray that his family is comforted by the love that people all over the world had for him, and trust that they'll see their beloveds again.

Basketball is amazing.

You know what else made him a legend? His undying loyalty to the Lakers. Kobe was a Laker for his entire pro career. You cannot get anyone who are willing to stay with one team through their entire sports career like him....

Living in Los Angles, and coming up a die hard Laker fan, I had the incredible fortune to see almost every one of these plays live. No athlete, in any sport, has ever more consistently simply blown my mind like Kobe. He'd have games where he'd have more highlight reel type plays than many players would have in a season.

Here’s the thing about Kobe. If you actually WATCHED him play then he’s undeniably one of the 5 greatest players to ever play the game. If you are a stat freak that only looked up numbers than you will put him outside the top 5 maybe top 10. Numbers don’t tell the whole truth and I was lucky enough to see his greatness live. He’s the GOAT imo, I haven’t seen a player as great as Kobe, respectfully I wasn’t born wen Jordan, magic and Bird were in their primes
