He had no choice at his age and mileage on his body. What made kobe so skilled later is that he was able to see this version of mj and dissect him. Learning from other greats to make up for the athleticism he didn't have in comparison to mj

WthanChase No, he wasn't. He wasn't found guilty of rape by any court and so your comment is pure speculation. There is a legal principle called pressumption of inocence: a person is not guilty unless proven guilty by a trial. You are violating the pressumption of inocence with your comment. Kobe has never commited rape unless proven otherwise.

You know it's just nice to see real basketball at its best. Could care less about the MJ, Kobe comparisons. I enjoyed watching Mike when he bust onto the seen as well as Kobe. They both gave it all they had which you don't always see today. I find it great to see a young man like Kobe wanting to learn from MJ. As a teacher, I found their relationship refreshing because you rarely see young people today giving that respect to the teacher.

People dont realize that Jordan spawned a whole breed of new players including Kobe, D wade, Tmac, Vince Carter, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Lebron James. They all grew up watching Mike and at the time MJ was playing, there was noone else in the league who was considered to be as good as he was. MJ was the best in the game during his career and everyone knew it. He was also idolized by many more even Allen Iverson. Its bc of Jordan the NBA is so popular and he set the bar so high that even with all those great players i mentioned above, none of them have even come close to surpassing Mj and all of them fell short of the throne of the goat

Context is what's ALWAYS missing from these MJ vs (fill in the blank) videos, when younger fans try to comment on them. They just tend to look at things at face value. But the REALITY of the matter is that at that time, this was CHI 3rd game in as many nights. And being the OLDEST TEAM in the league at that time, they were a bit fatigued. Because by the 3rd quarter they were gassed and it showed. Whereas the lakers were one of the YOUNGER TEAMS in the league, and had a day off before this game. So they were CLEARLY RESTED, not to mention jacked up SKY HIGH about playing MJ and the defending champion Bulls. They caught the CHI at the right time.

@@klue2196 who was the focal point of all six championships for the Bulls? Was Pippen valuable, yes! I think most people forget about that 97-98 season including the finals. Jordan carried that team. Pippen waited to have his surgery and he looked like a shell of himself against the jazz.

Watching these Last dance/Laker/Chicago vids I cried my heart out seeing Kobe win his first championship and jump up and hug Shaq. When I was a kid I breathed basketball, I attended Laker games. KOBE was everything to me. This was a fantastic watch. Thanks for uploading. I will forever remember these days as well as the signature, southern California screams of excitement heard at the bars whenever Kobe would hit a game winning shot
