Kobe, Kobe gave himself the nickname "mamba" and people just went with it but yet people praise him for it 2. Lebron literally said that he felt like the goat when he came back from down 3-1 against the 73-9 warriors with his legacy at stake. He never explicitly stated he was the goat, he only said he FELT like the goat.

Many NBA fans don't really got or picked the right meaning of Lebron's statement.... but for me, it was just simple, within the heart and shouldn't been talked the way media did..... When I hear the video, I was like he just said what he felt after winning a Championship at Cavs in 52 years drought..... His impression is that that one right there make my the GOAT..... He did not say, hands down I'm the GOAT... Lebron doesn't need to win a title. His game itself speaks that he's a top 5 NBA player of All-Time....... He is the only player in NBA history to be in a Top 10 in both assists and points........ He passed MJ in most points both Regular-Season and Playoffs......... he is I think the only I've seen with this type of strength plus the high rate of speed that is an NBA greats........... His doing it all, once player commits to it, that's unbelievable........... Stop hating on this man........... We will all raise our head on him at the time he got his HOF ceremony, jersey retirement, and other stuffs....... Just love and be like WOW...:-)

stats can be deceiving specially for a stat padder, it's actually easy to get 3ple double if your whole team is trying to give you stats, but lets be real here, in an actual game you can't see Lebron trying to give his all even on close game and he's now famous for not playing D. if lebron is the standard of NBA for becoming a GOAT then NBA really became a shitty sports.
