unlike any animal, koalas cannot comprehend that fire is dangerous. They only know it's painful when they are burned by it. Sloth knows fire is dangerous, so they back off or run. Sloth is just lazy, not stupid.

My partner also cried his eyes out when he heard that Lewis died. 😭 I feel so sad, wish I was there to rescue them and volunteer in koala hospital...

My son has so many koala like things. He was born with 2 fingers stuck together, looks like one, has a round back and likes to hug us.

The only part of australia they inhabit is the part that is currently burning, how utterly depressing 😔

You are obviously joking ... over the decades I've seen them throughout the country from east to west and top to bottom .... during the 60's dead ones were seen on the roads everywhere ... these days it's not so common to see a dead one .... during the past 50 years about 90% have disappeared mainly due to blindness and diseases

Yeh I paid to hold one when I was in Hamilton Island not long ago, and I freaked out when I saw it’s claws. All the tourists were eyeing me like I was crazy, but iv’e heard they can be vicious and I’m a chicken.
