I swear by KNOX Jackets and trousers. Great items and yes expensive but so worth it.

I flipping love my Knox jacket. I have the ladies Urban Pro. It was a game changer on our trip through Europe in August. It fits well, its cool, I wear it with a fleece under if its cooler as well as my base layer. I then put my Halvorsen waterproof over the top if its wet. I intent to update to their base layers.

I have the Urban Pro 3 jacket that came out of the box first. I live in the Uk and this was my go to jacket throughout the summer. With the chest protector fitted it was plenty warm enough. I got caught out in the rain a few times and whilst my arms got cold my body was fine. After the rain and a quick coffee stop it dried out fast and didn’t spoil the ride. Worn as a stand alone jacket for hours at a time and the armour stays securely in place due to the snug fit. Super comfy. Also have the Handroid pod gloves, again another great product from Knox.

Just a quick update with my Knox summer kit ,if you’re wearing the protection vest under a airflow jacket you can put a camel back 1 litre in the vacant rear protection pocket in the jacket and drink cold water through the drinks tube during long trips 😊👍👍

I bought a pair of the full length Handroid MK5 gloves a few months ago. Certainly not cheap, but great quality and sooooo comfortable.

Just getting into motorcycling and your videos are inspiring. Will certainly be checking out the Knox range in the near future , especially the chainmail silver pro jacket! 👍🏻

Very comfortable, feels more like a comfy anorak rather than a stiff biking jacket , only tried for 30 mins but only 7.5 and very windy in the Peak District, just need a dry period for a longer test but seems very good, going to try it as a walking jacket.

Great video! I like the Knox kit and totally agree with the layering concept. Quality looks great as well . I'm sure the interior pockets are adequate . You are going to have a great time and looking forward to the videos. I do like Mike's socks too. Best!

Great stuff. I've more or less got Mikes length and build and love the chainmail colour. Alas I also wear about 30 years more of belly so I'd have to check myself in the mirror first to see if that would be permissable. And that copper indeed goes well with your hair. The green would however be a bit too forestry, anoraky, christmasy for me as well. But overall it looks fantastic. Suits the both of you, madam and sir!

yeah the armoured shirt is designed to be worn under say a jacket or hooded top

I just want a glove that’s nice and warm but gives good feel

Great video Kate Knox have certainly come along recently i will be going this route shortly love the season less concept and adding taking away saves on having loads of kit thats hardly used for half the year will save on packing space when traveling as well

I almost bought a Knox jacket, I forget what model, but yeah I needed to buy the armor shirt if I wanted armor for the jacket. It kinda turned me off to the idea. 😅I just wasn't sure how the jacket would look with an armor shirt underneath, so this video is perfect! Thanks Kate!

I REALLY like the gloves!

One thing I really noticed about all of this gear is just how flexible and able to move you are. With much of the AAA rated protective clothing it great for protection but very restrictive on movement.

I've just bought the Seasonless system so impressed with the waterproofness of Knox Dual Pro , looking forwards to picking up Knox Welbeck Jacket and Walker Trousers tomorrow for extra waterproofness.

That copper colour is the cat’s pyjamas. I’m not into layered stuff myself, mostly because I’m a skin flint, but that jacket and armour combo is nice. Those gloves look quite bulky, I suppose that’s the point for protection purposes. Have you ridden with them yet? My very first CBT involved very thick gauntlets. I found them devoid of a lot of feel and quite restrictive. I went for a pair of Oxford gloves that I still use and are so much better! If there’s a glove that can balance that feel with serious protection then they’d sell like mad, this could be them!

Work that camera Mike...Yeah baby! I'm liking the green softshell. I use a Scott Ergo Pro for waterproofing over the top of a Rukka forsair but will definitely look into the Dual Pro, if and when the Scott gets trashed. I reckon I'd wear it as a casual jacket, when I'm being casual! Have a fantastic holiday....I'm not jealous in the slightest ;)

I use the handroid long glove and think they are fantastic.

Big Knox fan, got long and short handroids, a set of winter storms, and various bits of micro lock throughout my gear. You’ll both be well looked after in that gear.

Knox gear is a complete game changer for anyone who's never tried it for comfortable, all day riding gear,especially in the heat👍. I'll have to get the gloves next.

Hi Kate. I do like Knox stuff some years ago I purchased a Knox back protector, to improve the protection I was wearing at that time. One thing I can tell you when in really hot sunny climates, the lighter the colour of the garment the more it reflects the sunlight, this isn't so important on the move with a air flow but when stationary it does make a difference. The same has to be said with a crash helmet white is a lot cooler than a black one. Hope you have a lovely tour. Thank you.

Kate I have exactly the same Knox stuff and I am still using it here in the UK. Went out last Sunday to Stratford-upon-Avon in the urbane pro and dual jacket temperature about 8deg didn't need my heated jacket. It's my go too combination since my wife bought us each the same set. I have the Knox urbane pro gloves as well but bit chilly for them now. Great video as always 👍. Ride safe both.

Good timing this, i was thinking about getting that green jacket but going to wait till next year as on a diet and lost 20lb so far, so do not want to end up with wrong size after a few months, that green jackets right up my strasa!

Great vid. I didn’t realise Knox was a British make ! I currently use RST partly for that reason but I will definitely look at Knox when I need to renew. I really liked the layering approach and the gloves were of particular interest... Keep riding, enjoy your tour in Gran Canary…

I’ve have an Urban pro II for 3 years and it’s been very good even at 45* + , as long as I’m moving.

The orso gloves are perfect summer gloves. I would looking for something that had the finger, knuckle, and palm sliders in the thinnest gloves for those hot 100 degree days, and only Knox has it. Not alpinestars, dainese, held or anyone else.

You really did raid the Knox toy box! Lol. I've also got a fair bit of Knox gear, both pair of gloves like you have, perfect for a trip abroad, the Handroid for most of the time and, the Orsa for hot weather. Also the denim jeans and the jacket in black (it matches everything). I'm considering the 3in1 jacket 🤔. It's only money! 😉

I've heard of Knox before but not really looked into it. They look really nice. Will have a look at their stuff. I like the idea of having the armour as the bottom layer. My Revit gear, like most others is the other way around. Protection in the outer jacket and then rain jacket then thermals. Which is annoying when travelling between varying weathers. No good it raining then having to take your gear off to put water proof stuff underneath

I wish those were available stateside. Especially the gloves.

The Knox gear is great when you have a slim figure/physique, not so flattering tho when you have a gut the size of mine! lol

If you wouldn't mind sharing Mike's chest size, seeing how the mk3 looks on him and knowing it's an XL is great but knowing what his chest size is compared to the fit would be ideal. Love your videos btw. I'm debating on purchasing the MK3 for myself for summer riding, and any additional feedback since owning them would be great, like is he comfortable with the fit or would size up or down. Thanks

i like knox and have the urban pro armour shirt and orca gloves and thermal layers but im not sure about the sizing on the jeans and trousers some of them only come in regular leg length i need short leg but there quality is excellent

Mike! Put a ring on that finger, Mate. I doubt you can find 2 Kate's. I just got some stunt-riding jeans. Kevlar hips, knees. My ICON-filed armor goes under my Fat Electrician hoodie.

I have heated gear too and this kit wouldn't work with it unless your heated stuff was a bit baggy (which they usually aren't as the purpose is to be close to your skin). I've decided if its cold enough for heated stuff, its time to retire the Knox for the moment and wear a normal textile with the heated stuff :)

Knox is great stuff. Here in New England it makes the same kind of sense as there because of the layer potential. I have a Frank Thomas Club Classic leather that I got in the UK in the mid 90's Do they still exist?. It's in perfect condition and I still use it because the UK makes great riding kit.

Both my partner and me wear Knox, head to toe 😁 Love the product , everything is so well made and worth every penny. We own the full season less range, my only complaint is the waterproof over trousers , even after extra treatments they failed in the crotch area while touring the highlands , shame . Other than that , Knox 9/10 👍🏼

So the mesh is designed for hot weather but you can wear it under other gear in say, in our cooler climate here in the UK. Is the breathability of the mesh still roughly the same ?

I couldn't get the copper colourway as they were out of stock in my size 😢Looks fab on you though 😁

Question the motorbike jeans I saw the knee and hip armour but do they have full length Kevlar (or similar)? as currently using Bull IT SP8 and looking for something a bit more lighter weight so this would be interesting.

Hi! it would help if you could provide key measures for Mike (jacket and trousers) because I wonder which size I should order. For instance, usually I would be a XL for the jacket but this is not the case. How accurate are the size charts is not always enough to choose the size.Thank you.

I don't own any Knox kit. I also prefer the control & feel of lighter golves & have prior worn motocross summer gloves This summer I added some Alpinestars SP5 to my collection....look & feel great but not the last word in cuff retention or protection...they do have a finger bridge though. I came very close to getting some handroid gloves.. They look cool & the Predator type cable type bits actuallly seem to aid hand return movements.... Good glove/wrist retention too. As for the clothes....I confess nothing I saw stood out to me astheticallty....Hopefully comfort & functionality may factor positively. My leather & tex jackets are RST & I favour Roadskin for Jeans ...currently easy rider AA...annoyingly bought shortly before AAA Taranis where released.

Never gets that cold here in Florida. Have to go Mad Max or Demolition Man. in combat armor. Needs to breathe.
