Same, i was feeling bad all day that what I'm studying today won't help me in the afterlife, but I can't just stop studying in this field either, i have to make money in the future for my family... I just searched 'nouman ali khan lecture in English' while doing chores and clicked the first video without even paying much attention at the thumbnail... And when he started talking i knew instantly that it's a message from Allah swt directly for me, cause what are the odds that this 6 years old video would be the first one I click! Subhanallah!

Ameen, inshallah we all meet in jannah

yesterday i was thinking that i take interest in my studies more than quran and automatically allot more time for my degree than ibadah , i was thinking like this because its ramadan and u are suposed to collect as many good deeds as possible, But now my vision is clear, I have to balance Quran and my degree and not feel bad while studying because Allah will allow me to use it for his service in sha Allah JazakAllah Noumar Ali Khan

I usually refuse to give a public comment on these plattforms. But today this man gave me something I will never ever forget from this moment on. It was like a blessing send to me, a guide that I needed, an answer to the questions that were stuck in my head. May Allah grant him Jannah, all of us Amin ❤️

This is what i have been needing. I stopped studying college since my mother died because i felt like college will not be beneficial to me, my mother and my family because religious people i encountered said that i won't be able to bring my education in the akhirah and will not bring any benefit to me in the day of judgement. I was guilty of studying for Dunya and not Akhirah. So, i got emotional and focus myself in Ibadah (Spent my day in my prayer mat, praying, reading Qur an and doing Dhirk). Until i become niqabie. But this kind of mindset has led me to forget my responsibility to my family. I felt unmotivated to study, to try new things, to be happy, to even take care of our family's business so i ended up lossing our small business because i thought i wasn't doing it for the sake of Allah. Thankfully my father reminded me that i need to balance my Dunya and Akhirah. My father's words has really got me and made me realized how incorrect my understanding of Islam. Now, i graduated college as a niqabie. But again i feel guilty for working in the government as a niqabie beacause this work will not benefit my akhirah. Listening to Ustaz Nouman made me realize to be responsible in a way of finding balance between akhirah and dunya because Allah has given responsibility to mankind to live in dunya while thinking about the akhirah. It's hard but Allah honored mankind and entrust this responsibility so i think i'm actually living for the sake of Allah.

I think we can exercise for the sake of Allah swt because this body is being loaned to us by our Creator. And we have to treat it right.

Every action which is good is a mercy of Allah (swt) Allah (swt) knows best.

My little eyes say, Numan Ali khan is the best for islamic lectures in English....may Allah give him nek hay hayath Ameen. ...

If we put Allah in perspective and then shape our whole lives according to it while leaving back the distinction between Deen and dunya then everything will be fine. If Allah is in perspective, then there will be no 'deen' and 'dunya' but only what takes you closer to Allah and makes you ready to meet Him.

May Allah protect us and grant us correct knowledge !

Once I discovered BAYYINAH I knew how I want to live my life ! I really become excited about learning on the bayyinah tv platform. When ppl ask me, what is your passion, what is your hobby, where are you good at, what excites you, I never know how to answer because I always think hobbies something as sports or arts etc but actually i know what drives me, it is the knowledge that I gain with bayyinah institute and their videos! I now have to organise my life to an extent that I put those lessons into practise and help others to the same thing by understanding and benefitting from the lessons in a healthy and guided way.

Oh I personally had totally this dunya vs deen battle since the 2nd year of my training. I always thought like this entire training including my future plans are good for my dunya but how am I supposed to handle both? One of my favorite lectures of all time!!

This video was uploaded six years ago but seems to be timeless. Thank professor for this beautiful lesson. I really needed to be knowledgeable about that point. In reality I just finished my Master degree's in organic chemistry and I always felt bad about myself because I thought that I was only caring about my donya and not my deen. Recently, I've started learning on daily basis about my deen and suddenly come across this video which is a true magic bullet to what I was thinking about. I always ask Allah to give me useful knowledge and here I am benefiting. El hamdolilah. May Allah bless you 🤲🏼.

I love my mom, but if i was only listening to her for the sake of love, I’d listen once and a second time, third time I’d say “mom i love you but I’m tired please do it yourself”. I do everything for the sake of getting a reward from Allah in the hereafter. Allah said take care of yourself therefore, all activities we do to maintain oneself can also get you rewarded, if we say “Allah im doing it because you ordained it so”.. Do it for Allah, you’ll do more and get a reward too. I don’t agree with what Nouman said on this one!

I didnt understand where is your disagreement with Nouman, He didn't talk about the obeing thing he just talked about love, he said that your love for your parents is pure and naturel and not because Allah told you to do so, but the obeisance to our parents is an obligation from Allah, so there is some cases where your parents ask you to do something and your just lazy and dont wanna do it because your being lazy and not because you hate your parents, in this case you should do it for the sake of Allah, JUST DO IT unless they are asking to do something against the command of Allah in this case you don't do it not because you hate them but you don't do it for the sake of Allah.

If we try to understand only from this video, we could think that our love for someone don't have to because Allah. As long as that is sincere, that is good. If we undestand it like this, i think this is misconception. Qur'an and Hadits said that our love, our hate, our attitude, and any others have to because Allah. BUT, if we understand what Ustadz Nouman said in this video (only from this video) as something to broaden our perspective and to strenghten our concept about ikhlas (sincerity in Islam), yes i agree. So, one thing for sure is let's try to understand what is the meaning of ikhlas (sincerity in Islam) comprehensively. Lately, i learn to hear my heart more than forcing my mind into it. I used to by pass pretty much everything in the name of spiritualism, while my heart didnt actually say so. I used to be like that for years to the point of feeling numbness, like.. i couldnt tell what i feel, and it brings me to depressed state. I feel like a human shell without emotion. Once i learned that there's something wrong within myself (because despite of all 'spiritual works' that i've done, i was filled with jealousy, arrogance, low self esteem), i try to be more honest with myself. 'Do i sincerely want this?' 'Am i forcing myself'. Being honest with yourself is really hard at first even uptil now. And this lecture remind me again of the importance of it, thank you so much.

I used to think that studying non-islamic faculty is less worthy in the eye of Allah because that's what people told me in my country. But you change my perspective. I am studying English, then some people said that "in paradise, you will be asked in Arabic, not English, you're just wasting your time".
