That's good advice. Stay grounded is another way to handle these experiences. Touch your knee off a table, feel your feet connecting to the ground, pay attention to your breathing and check your pulse. This takes your mind from conflict only for a moment to stop the part of your brain that says react.

My friends and family all have a hard time detatching emotion from a problem and applying reason to it. It's definitely hard for a lot of people to do and I think it comes down to the overindulgence of media and technology in today's society. People don't spend enough time just thinking about life and various situations and how they can better approach it all. In short, most people just don't know themselves well enough to be able to detach emotion and apply reason to every day life.

I notice the more absorbed in a less than ideal moment I get, I tend to hold my breath. I then realize I'm too worked up and make myself take deep slow breaths. Means to an end- oxygen rich blood, chest untightens I handle the problem. In my little world it's how I distance myself internally from exacting road rage 😄

only reason I’m detaching is because I’m starting to get some evil thoughts. Dan Crenshaw should get himself a glass eye cause that patch and self righteous hero crap gets on my nerves. that’s what’s up . I feel like stealing that eye patch ...supporting a parasite. if he got heated with me then he’d have two eye patches. that’s all.

I like to detach when watching adult films to raise my brain chemisty while eating a pork chop. I step away from the porn but can't step away from the pork chop. I think because it's the real deal and not fake meat when alot of the time porn is fake and not meat. Maybe I should put on school girls or french maids and loose the A1 steak sauce or just loose the A1 all together but I can't see my self doing that. Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble detaching from a beautiful meal. Kinda like take the gun leave the cannolis frame of thinking I sopose.
