I've always been fascinated by miniatures. Now, in my 70's I am still knitting teeny, tiny stuff. Years ago, I discovered Jean Greenhowe, from Scotland, I think, and her pamphlets filled with tiny dolls and their things knit in sport weight yarn. So much fun.

Loved the podcast. Love knitty cat, Julie, too... you both are so fun and very similar upbeat personalities. So fun to watch. sending love, hugs, prayers for you and for the girls to get well soon. I miss them.

Thanks for another great episode! The “so, here’s what happened“ story made me think about my mom and all the things we made together when I was growing up. Mostly sewing projects, including my senior prom dress. It was purple with a lace bodice with spaghetti straps, A-line shaped, and a long flowing skirt. It was gorgeous! In the past few months she’s made me several project bags that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

LOVE the duster...I will definitely be interested in knitting that pattern!

Happy Sunday! I feel like Lent is coming up way too quickly here. I loved the ornaments for the advent calendar. I love knitting fun, tiny toys, and think I might make some faux breakfast food for my kids' April Fools day trick this year. I'm not sure I'm up for knitting a super long duster right now, but I love the pockets and the design so far.

Another fun episode, thank you. I hope you and your family are enjoying your afternoon knitting and watching documentaries together. You clearly are enabling many of us on the Wildflower Tee. I think it is so lovely and particularly liked the spring/summer colors shown in the designer’s photos. I so wanted to use your yarn, but spring is brief here in central NM and the heat of summer comes early and lingers so no wool for me. I’ve opted for cotton/viscose/linen yarns. They are DK weight but this gives me the opportunity to use some recently learned skills in doing the calculations to determine what size to knit to the gauge I get on those yarns. As one who doesn’t use IG, I so appreciate you taking the time to share some of the pictures (like Julie’s Benedicta) that you see there. Have a great week. Dear Devin, I hope y’all have a healing afternoon snuggled on the couch drinking tea and watching documentaries. Fresh Ginger, lemon, elderberry and honey is my favorite restorative hot tea. 2016 is OLD??? Oh dear night! Fun story. I'm 43 and I tend toward golden retriever characteristics. I'm pretty "loyal" once I find my niche. I don't care what it is, yarn brands, food types, clothing styles, colors, you name it. This week, I got a reminder that the "loyalty" I feel in my bones is can be just repetition and I need to shake it up sometimes. After getting our eyes checked, my 15yo daughter and I started looking at frames. I could not find any that I liked. I told the optician that I would come back if I didn't find anything in the great big open wild world of eyeglasses and we left. That night, I went to a couple other optical shops looking at frames. At one nationwide, online turned in-person store, the hipster sales guy took one look at my frames, pronounced them "quite dated" and told me to find new ones. I was astonished. These? I still get so many complements on these frames and I'm just not finished with them yet. "Those frames were first introduced in 2017 and Kate Spade stopped making them in 2019. Yes, they're old," he didn't pull any punches. I did. I made quiet excuses and left the shop. I made my way to the next shop while fighting some tears, did I mention I'm 43 and a little perimenopausal? I walked in, started looking around and the exceptionally polite and very knowledgeable assistant started asking questions about what I was looking for. He also pointed out that my frames were considered out of style by industry standards, but quickly followed up with, "they look really nice on you, but let's see if we can find something to update your style some." I was floored! He was so polite, my tears quickly dried up, and as we tried on new frames, my confidence really returned. I didn't buy frames from him that day because I wanted to sleep on the HUGE decision that is new glasses. The next day, I returned to the place close to my home to get my daughter's frames, and found the same ones I had chosen the day before. I feel kind of bad for not returning to the very nice place in the other town, but I am excited to try something new. I don't think I have a moral of the story, but I hope someone out there reads this and thinks to themselves, if that Jen V can break out of her "loyalty," so can I, and then takes the new fun step. I had a similar awakening last summer. I hate green. All of them. Until I had to wear a deep moss green and got so many complements! I'm trying to look at colors with new eyes.

I need to watch Paddington because I LOVE Wonka, seen it 5 times already and everyone says it is not a surprise because of the director, who did both Paddington movies.

What's that song? And she wears a loooooong jacket 🤣🙌 the duster is coming along beautifully!

Devon this duster is haunting my dreams, I simply can not wait. I want to do it with fingering jovis holding a mohair of each of your colors so that’s it’s like a TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT!

I am making 2 mobiles using a few of the advent patterns. I was excited to make these as most of the ornaments weren't going to work on my tree!

I am a new follower of yours, Devan, and to do the Knit club in the future because I’m a new follower. What is your Yarn made up of in the sock yarn. Also , I want to add I would want the sock weight and a mini to go with it. That’s my input but are you 75/25 super wash Marino what is your Yarn? Thank you so much.
