Hi. The 4 inch strap is worked for both the front and back. But the finished project does not show the strap for the back piece.

I adore this. I crochet but there seem to be so many more lovely knitting projects. Knitting is next on my relearn list! Thank you 😊

hi - I was wondering if you could perhaps add to the description what the width at the waist, length, and armhole depth is? It's not filled out :D

Same yarn and needles as the one shoulder top, so I would assume the same measurements: armhole depth 22cm/ 9in. You will have to do the math: if 24 sts give 10cm, then 176 sts give about 73.3cm at the waist.

Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. I love that you demonstrated each step. I feel confident enough to knit my first top! Was the Drops cotton hard on your hands - I heard that pure cotton has no stretch Inness as you knit and that hands sometimes cramp or hurt.

Do you have a written pattern for different sizes? I need a size XL and this is a medium it will never fit the person I would love to knit this for.

hi! can i just check if at 1:50 when you say knit - did it mean to do the top in stockinette stitch? (purl the next round ? since already knitted one round?) also for your 30cm, is it the measurements for the tank top from back collar to end of the tank? or from the front collar to end of the tank? i want to crop mine a little so want to see how i should adjust my length :-) thank you!

Thsis is made with a cotton yarn that calls for 3mm needles. In the description she gives more details.

What does it means, "there should be 5 sts in every two inches" Thanks for your help.

I wish I knew too - she doesn’t seem to have answered this question. 🤔 I think if you just use a bigger yarn and needles you could makes it bigger, but I’m not sure how much bigger - probably couldn’t;t take it from a size M to size XL. I’d like to do one for a large - I might try and give it a go using bigger needles and yarn.

Is this knit in the round?

I cast on 280 stitches. It’s impossible to keep the stitches from twisting!! Does anybody have any suggestion?

Unfortunately there are no answers to such questions but maybe I can help a little. The yarn she used is drops Safran. Drops has a great Homepage full of free patterns and yarn. So I visited the page and found out two important things: 1) for 10 cm you have to knit 24 stitches with the mentioned yarn. Means: if your waist is 90 cm you need 9x24 stitches to achieve that measurement - makes 216 to cast on. 2.) I compared patterns made from the yarn with what is called size M in this video. The patterns were similar, knitted in rounds from the bottom, starting with knit purl 1 - for a size M you need much more than 176 stitches. You can check the patterns - they always include a scheme for sizes and measurements. So you can easily see how many stitches you need to achieve your personal measurements. 😊 You can also just calculate with what I found out about the yarn. 10 cm = 24 stitches I hope this helps a bit? I hope my text was understandable as I’m German - sorry for any mistakes I probably made ❤

Hi, l have been looking for the sizing information too for this tank top. While making calculations, you should also consider positive or negative ease of the yarn. I mean, how much the knitted piece stretches after knitting in stockinette stich.
