Happy Holidays! To get your free pattern to follow along, visit my website here: verypink.com/2018/12/05/doubl...
The yarn I used for my hats is Knit Picks Capra. The yarn I used in the worsted weight hat is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Tweed.
The faux fur pompoms are from this Etsy shop, I used the 4" size:
www.etsy.com/shop/FFFabuknits
The purple/pink hat is the larger size, the purple/gray hat is the larger size, the worsted weight hat is the smaller size, the helix knitting (striped) hat is the smaller size.
The needles I use are different Knitter's Pride interchangeable circulars, including Ginger and Dreamz.

I've watched quite a few of your videos and I have to say, the production value is really top-notch. You are friendly and encouraging WITHOUT a lot of unnecessary chit-chat. I love that you get right to the topic at hand. Yours are now my go-to videos for new techniques and refreshers on old ones. Thank you!!

Mine too. I come back every time I need to remember how to do Kitchener stitch!
Finished this hat for my grandson. Used Worsted. Made a lovely hat with a warm double edge. Perfect for our Canadian winter that started a week ago lol. First time using a provisional cast on and I loved it. My son saw the hat I made for his son and I now have a a joyful list of hat seekers. Thank you Staci.
Thank you so much for this generous gift, Staci! I love your enthusiasm, and always appreciate the little tricks that you share and the clarity with which you explain things.
I love watching your videos, you don't waste time talking about irrelevant stuff and the instructions are short, concise and clear. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Just finished my first hat using this pattern and I love it! So soft and stretchy. Fun to make.
Thank you for the present! Happy Holidays to you and your family. Love all that you do for the knitting community.🎁
I am watching you tutorial for about the 20th time. Just because I am very excited about making one. You talk about dpn's. I prefer to use dpn's but I also want to get comfortable with the circular needles. Also, I had cancer about 10 years ago and had some chemo hats that were very itchy, nice soft yarn is very important to me. Thanks for the pattern. Robin
Ohhhh... looks warm and super toasty. You and your crew are fab!!! Thannnnk you!!!!!
I thank the Lord for you and your videos! I’m a new knitter, constantly getting stuck on patterns and this just gave me tons of hope and help❤️❤️❤️
I wish there was an option to give you 10 thumbs up for this tutorial, Staci! Thank you for this wonderfully well-timed and generous gift. Merry Christmas to you!
As soon as I’m done knitting one of the socks I’ve been watching you knit I’m going to take on this challenge! Thank you for these amazing guides 🙏🏻✨
Thank you so much for another wonderful video explaining how to create a double cuff. You add just the right amount of instructions to make it understandable and are well prepared to show all the different steps in the process. You are appreciated.
I appreciated your discussion on the two types of yarn and their effects on the finished hat.
Hey thanks! I was one of those who hated DP needles and only used circulars. After your comments, I bought a set and tried again. I find it very relaxing and enjoy not having to deal with the twisting cord. I think my problem was that I tried them years ago when I first started knitting. My tension was too loose so the needles kept falling out and rolling on the floor. I kept getting ladders also. After using circulars, I’ve learned how to close the gaps. No ladders at all with these new DPs! I bought more of them! Thanks for encouraging me to try again!
Love this hat and I love the Pom attached with a button. Such a great idea. Thanks so much for sharing.
Once again you have made me want to drop my current wip and start on this project.I can not wait until after the holidays when I can knit something for ME! Thanks Staci, you are the best

So sweet...this pattern isn't going anywhere. :) Finish what you're knitting, and this pattern will be waiting for you to knit next.
Thanks for that extra tidbit about tightening up the purl stitch on the 2 by 2 ribbing! You have been so helpful with all your videos Greatly appreciated😀
thank you for this pattern! I absolutely love the part where you "unzip" the provisional cast on! So satisfying!
Thank you for sharing this great technique and pattern. I have already made 3 of these for my 2 sons and my hubby. They love their hats and already asked for more in different colors 😊
I also have to say you are hilarious! “Somebody find me something pointy on this table...oh, a knitting needle”. I’m still giggling about it. I even played it for my husband to enjoy.

soooo true! She's my reference when I try new stitches and techniques! Took me forever to understand the twisted Russian cast-on! loll
This is an amazing idea for a hat.. Can't believe there's no baby size.. It's perfect for new borns - no seems and no cast on edge, all soft and fluffy on the little angel's head...
