Knitting Help - Slow Motion PTBL
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I demonstrate the PTBL (purl through the back loop) stitch in slow motion.
The scarf on the mannequin (not my design) is Nauset Light Wrap. You can see this pattern on Ravelry here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...
The needles I'm using are Knitter's Pride Ginger DPNs. The yarn is just some leftover bulky wool.

Thank you for this. May I suggest what would also be helpful is an explanation of the stitch, ie what the stitch ends up looking like in the fabric, when and why it is used, etc. Thank you.
You're a mind reader! I literally just went to see if you had a tutorial for this stitch for a pattern I am working on. Love your videos. You're just legit so cool 😎. Thanks for always supporting my knitting adventure. Have a lovely day and hope all the best for you xo.
Thank you! I needed this demo for a lace shawl I'm knitting right now.

I didn’t even know that stitch existed! What would it be used for/in?

Only if your pattern calls for it. :)
Can't you just turn the stitch around on the needle and then just knit through the back loop?
Maybe a better way to say it is "insert the needle into the FAR side of the back loop".
