Thanks for watching video!Glad you like it.👍
Stunning
Great job, love the use of clay before hardening and The final effect
Ahhh i remember the infamous file beveling jig. I made one when I just started knifemaking and made plenty of knives with it. Though the calouses where not the best thing that came from the hours spent getting one bevel ground. Definitely recommend making yourself one for a first time knifemaker. Makes you appreciate what good hard work gets you. I have made myself a 2x72 belt grinder though which is a step up.
Attractive knife 🔪, well done
You did a fantastic job sir!!!!👍🤠
Totally sweet amigo 👍🏼👍🏼

Thank you very much!
Very good!!!!!!excellent What steel did use?
Why don't people like to talk in videos? I mean, it is their channel and they can do what they want but I feel like I am getting less than half the story. If you use a carding brush on your file to remove embedded shavings, you won't have those giant gouges in the blade at the end of filing. Takes a lot less time than sanding them out. Really turned out nice. Good work.
Great vid! What thickness of the blade are you recommending before heattteating so the edge dosen’t bend? I don’t have a belt sander so I have to file the knife before treating😢
what's that dough you put on the blade at minute 3:37? compliments !!
Love the look of this knife! What was the length from the tip to the end of the tang? And then overall length after the handle? Great videos, keep them coming!
@AVmake

Thanks man!Overall length is is 27cm,cutting edge is 12cm.
what is the pasty material that you applied to the blade to season?
Gdje nabavljas materijal za izradu nozeva ,i kako se zove drvo od kog si napravio rukohvat.Sve pohvale za rad
Man.. How long it takes to files that knife down>?
Muy buen trabajo amigo. Una pregunta que material utilizaste para cubrir la hoja para el templado?

Se puede usar arcilla o cemento refractarios.
Since you did the bevel by hand and left the edge thick before HT, how did you finish beveling it after? Just sandpaper? or did you grind it?
@AVmake
5 жыл бұрын
I didnt measure it,but it wasn't super thick before HT.Then I just finish it with sand paper.
Nice video, what kind of handle was that? I really like the end result.

Я не спец, но по-моему это глина
If your handle is just a stick, why bother gluing it to the blade before finishing it? Finish the handle separate then glue it to the blade. You risk damage to the blade and yourself by doing it the way most knife makers seem to do.
