Knife Making Tools: DIY Carbide File Guide

For a new project, I need to make a few tools, and learn a few techniques, so first up, a tungsten carbide file guide - very expensive to buy ready made, but simple and cheap to make yourself! This is my guide to making a file guide for knife making.

    Nice! You have the quintessential shed at the bottom of the garden - it's superb! Love that you're working away in it - I'm sure there's some sort of shed-knife branding/name that you could apply to the knives. Looking forward to your next creations :)

    Thank you! I only wish it were a little bigger! At the moment I’m still branding it all “Little Tipple”, simply because that’s the brand I use for everything else, but I like the thinking - I’ll put my branding hat on!

    Thank you! Seems the prices have changed slightly, but they’re still a whole lot cheaper than buying one - angle iron is here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273949323207 and tungsten carbide is here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233593694747 - I got the 20x20 angle iron, and the 2x20 tungsten! Let me know how you get on!
