    Love the knee pull. Khabib did it mostly from the outside, so did Gregory Gillespie and Earl Hall. I had a few kids that were quick enough to hit from outside too. It’s such a slick leg attack.

    Just make sure you don’t have a collar tie on the same side as your lead leg with the setup. You’ll just pull them right into your leg and they’ll be deep in a single

    This is not true. It may be possible when you don't execute it properly but with good positioning defense for an incoming leg attack can be avoided using the collar tie, head position, footwork, and hips.

    Love it for sure bud my only thing is your gable grip it Should never be hand is around the leg in the front, and top it should be on the bottom because people can pull your arm up and you lose your connection, if you go home down then you actually have much more secure single leg opportunity that’s just what we really worked on in camps, and stuff and that’s exactly what some other guys taught me! Also I have a really good drill that I showed you guys going to do that sweeping single Big thing though really doesn’t matter because if you get proper position, angles, and you’re behind them it won’t matter that much unless you’re going if someone very very good.

    Yeah I know. I switched my technique to the way demonstrated. I only go palm to palm arm around back on top if my opponent has access to my wrist. I now train everyone to not allow the opponent access. I feel it is more effective. To each his own.

    Hey Coach, another great, well-explained technique vid! Thanks! I've got a more specific question. Scenario: street fight, larger opponent that know a bit of wrestling. How can I use HIS sprawl against him when I go for a double? Is there such a technique? Thanks again for all you do!

  • @royalty_the1892

    @royalty_the1892

    5 жыл бұрын

    First, always avoid a Street fight at any cost. It's not worth getting in trouble with the law or getting physically hurt just so you won't "look weak, or like a 'punk'" what's the point? In the long run it won't even matter and will be forgotten in a month. However, if you have no other choice.. Use an angle so the weight of his sprawl isn't directly on you. Check the video again for good techniques on angles. And if he thinks your gonna shoot, feint the double leg and when he goes for the sprawl hit him with a solid knee (an uppercut will work but a knee is devastating)

    A bit of time since this was posted, but trying to ask nonetheless: Given how many ppl will shoot singles to one side and high c to the other, could one perhaps replace the high c side with a knee pull single? So normal sweep single on right, knee pull single to left for example. Just trying to think how to avoid high c
