The TV series known as "In Search of" began in 1977. Prior to that there were 3 hour long documentaries that were produced in the early 70s by Alan Landsburg that would later be the basis for the series that was narrated by Leonard Nimoy. This is one of those documentaries.

You know your transfer is nearly the quality of the Nimoy "In Search of" set that I got on Amazon. I think the industry as a whole around that time, all too often in television, was going for cheap over quality. You can only do so much when the source is less than ideal. I think you did an outstanding job from reading your description about stuff being received on rabbit ears and such. Well done!

Duncan Lunan's *The Mysterious Signals from Outer Space* is a fascinating read, if you can find a copy. Strangely enough, despite the speculative link that Alan Landsburg tried to establish here between the probe theory and Tiwanaku, Lunan didn't think much of Tiwanaku as a possible extraterrestrial settlement in ancient times. (He devoted much more attention to the Tassili frescoes seen in the *Chariots of the Gods* film.) I respectfully disagree. Even a cursory look at the building materials used at Tiwanaku--and the dazzling finished product that was achieved in such an inhospitable location--places that city high on the list of the ancient world's genuine mysteries. After the Great Pyramid and Baalbek, there is no site more inexplicable than Tiwanaku.
