Oh man, this must be one of the best weightlifting clips there is. I always listen to this song during big squats and can hear Klokov's growls on it.

Just awesome, I stopped bodybuilding so much and now do more olympic cleans and squats than hypertrophy/isolation lifts, feel like i'm gonna faint or kill someone when I max on power cleans or deads; never got that feeling maxxing squats or bench. I haven't gotta a whole lot bigger but so much more explosive power, bodybuilding has it's purpose but this is true power/strength whole body training.

@RandomStevie - Same for Marcin Dolega. He's at his peak in his lifting career and London is most likely his last hurrah. It's unfortunate he had to have shoulder surgery so close to London but it looks like he should be ready to go. The 105s in London could be one for the ages.

klokov and akkaev are the champs no doubt but you gotta give credit to shankle for having come so far in such little time. he'd never done oly lifting until he'd gotten out of the military in 2003 and these guys have been in the game even before then.

Yea...he will be past his prime in 4 years. He is kind of like Aleksandr Kurlovitch. Puts up record-breaking numbers but only does enough in comp, underrated, and very unlucky. A dark horse indeed

This is fucking Klokov we're talking about, silver medal at the '08 olympics and '11 worldchampionsip, anyone who watches this can pretty much give up.

I think they are both incredible and inspiring athletes. I take it for granted that Shankle is natural and Klokov is "assisted". Level the playingfield on the chemical front and I'd say that Klokov is only a few percent ahead of Shankle.

Would be cool to see a Squat, Bench, or Pull video. There are snatch, jerk, and push press vids galore of Klokov but I've never seen him squat.

Everyone posting about Shankle, I am sorry guys... I am all about USA Weightlifting. I have my USAW L1... But Klokov is one of the best ever. Different league I am afraid. In the USA we have so many sports kids can grow up playing, so many different avenues to travel down. Our best athletes play the traditional US Sports.. Not Oly Weightlifting. Asia and Europe destroy us.
