I bought the original Forté when they came out. Had them for over 30 years. They were fantastic back then and I loved their sound. Thanks Kevin for reminding me why I bought them in the first place.

Great content as always but it is dark. I've been loving my Wharfedale Lintons and I purchased from Upscale about a month ago. Fantastic. Hopefully I'll be the proud owner of a Prima Luna Evo 100 sometime this spring. Thanks Kevin!

You are absolutely correct! I got a pair of these last fall and am driving them with a hand made (including hand-wound output transformers) SE 300-b amplifier with Western Electric tubes obtained through Upscale Audio, and I could not be more pleased with the sound. The bottom end is full and meaty, midrange is liquid magic, and highs are crystal clear with no fatigue whatsoever. Judicious supplementation of the very bottom octave is accomplished with an SVS-2000 employing Emotiva's XSP-1, although probably not even required. To dial in the very lowest notes, all the way down to 20Hz I listened to Pete Belasco's "Deeper." Thanks for all your superb research, expertise, and engaging commentary.

Jeez Kevin, You sell exactly the way you did in 1985! I need to upgrade my Klipsch KG's to these! Would love to meet MS Laura some day, sounds like one of the old crew.

I love this lighting🤩

I have the Forte III and they sound great. It has taken almost three years to get them broken in and I am very happy with them.

I make speakers as a hobby. I bought the same drivers as l used in some previous broken in speakers l made. If l "hand pump" the broken in drivers they "pump" easily. But NOT the new ones, they are really tight. So there is my objective evidence that speakers need to be broken in before they have the best sound.

@@Sloimer Probably doesn't have his system running 12 hours a day like mine. I make speakers and they still take a while, though. Brad new drivers are really stiff when you hand "pump" them but ran in (exact same) drivers "pump" easily. So more bass after a long time. lol And better bass cos it runs with the signal easier.

When Kevin says "Listen to what I'm gonna tell you" I sit up

I like the darker lighting.

They are not very light either.

Uncle Kevvy, Klipsch upgraded the wiring inside the CW4, is the wiring inside the Forte 4 also contain the Audioquest internal wiring? Thanks!

Hi Kevin. Really enjoy viewing your entertaining channel. I'm sorry to say I'm not keen on the new video format though. For me, the dark image makes it less inviting to watch, and the 'off camera' angles appear staged and interrupt your natural and endearing presentation. I love my cheap HS8 monitors for record listening too (not just for critical, flat, neutral studio use)… but dream of Klipsch one day. Would Forte or Cornwall be a considerable upgrade, difference, change for the better?

I got a 200w per channel MOSFET amp. What would happen if l hooked it up to the Klipsch Forte speakers and cranked it?

Turning to 11 May not be best. Instead use all that power as backup for unlimited dynamic range. I'm planning on using the new Schiit monoblocks as soon as they come out. 200watts rms each $3000 per pair. 600 voltage amp transformers in each monoblock. Jason Stoddard showed them off in an interview. Full sized 40 lb units each.

the production quality may be "better" now, but I like the old way better, especially looking directly into the camera (at us), rather than sort of oddly off to the left at no one in particular...

They look nice, unfortunately for those of us living in Australia the U.S. dollar price here is over $7200 per pair. It makes me wonder if Klipsch actually want to sell speakers in Australia.

You think he’s kidding. My brother bought his Heresy’s back in 1979 when he was shopping at pacific stereo and saw them being demoed with a new product called “Walkman”. Said he couldn’t believe how good they sounded and that they could play with so little power.

EL34 push pull are the kind of *tube* amps he likes. He’s not saying any particular manufacturer or model though.

Sansui 1000a in the background? I assume the 1000a would sound incredible through the fortes?

They sound better in subdued lighting.

Hell KEF/Triangle/JBL/monitor audio/Focal/ect ect sound 'lively' bright in the top end

* if a speaker ACTUALLY needs break in ........ only takes several hours ... NOT hundreds ! And the " break-in " is actually YOUR EARS !

@C K Yes, ok, I watched again on a different laptop, and I believe that his exposure setting was set a bit on the low side. I had to crank my monitor up to max bright. Well, I think this is only the first time. I am sure Kevin will catch this and make the proper adjustments for the next one (O:

Lighting looks great. Has some style. Not just generic even lighting that lazy people throw on videos. People just don't like change.

I'm in the vibe all over this until....100's hours of break in needed. Really? It's a speaker made of man made materials which will become 'compliant' in use in a very short time. Myth. Unscientific. Awesome, awesome speaker and thank for reviewing.

Unimpressive lighting.

I’m a faithful customer and I watch your videos all of the time but I really dislike the new videographer’s style. The videos are difficult to watch. The constant switching from front view to side view is uncomfortable to watch. Why so much panning?! Kevin, you need to be in bright light looking us square in the eye IMHO. Not this.

They are amazing but waaaaay too expensive! The drivers, the crossover, the cabinet design are nothing special exotic, or groundbreaking. These should be 3-4000 instead of almost 6000 euro a pair. Just look at the KLH Model 5, Wharfdale Linton, Harbeth Super HL5 Plus which are better builr and come in at way less.

Please go back to the old camera person - the constantly changing camera angles are infuriating & are completely unnecessary.

Less talking and more playing of the speaker is very much needed. Talking means nothing without the sound of the speaker.... Just saying

Am I the only one who thinks 90% of speakers look ugly? If I'm paying that much, they better look pretty. These are not.

Maybe get yourself some Bose Acoustimass to satisfy you. This is how speakers should look. Real walnut veneers and timeless design, not like a vacuum cleaner

I'm pretty sure the lighting is intentional so we can't see how ugly those Forte's actually are.
