Thanks for the video. So the other alligator clip needs to be grounded? I tried it on some Thermostat wire and the audio is not as clear as yours. I did leave the other alligator clip dangling.

basically both conductors has to stay parallel, not touching each other niether getting away from each other, so we can rely to the ground terminal as 2nd conductor, make sure the other single condutor is not touching the ground in any place, you will ghet the sound hopefully
