This is my favorite pouch but ironically enough I wish it had a couple more screwdriver slots.

@@mab1120 I thought that would be ideal as well, but what I did was actually soak the leather, and force the amount of screwdrivers I wanted in the pouch. Typically I can fit up to 3 screwdrivers in each slot when it is properly worn in, but ideally when the pouch wears to your daily tools (which I keep to a minimum) I try to keep the same tools in the pouch.

The "leather lubricant" he's talking about is called saddle soap I believe . Moisturizes your leather to make it last longer . Leather is cow skin in general terms . So just like your own skin, gotta add moisture to keep it from drying and cracking.

Your tape dangler chain is attached to a clip. I often see these clips on electricians pouches. What are the possible uses for such a clip?

Ive seen people around carry a small adjustable wrench on the clip but it bounces around too much so a lot of people keep it empty

I've seen guys use it to hang their metal fish tape off of it.

Honestly, I have no idea what the clip itself is used for, I have even used it to hang a tape-measure off of several times just for the heck of it. The little hole in most tape measure clips will snap into the clip so that's what I used it for often anyway.

they're called knife clips. but usually used for tape chain/thong, facilities keys, lockout-tagout, panel keys, equipment keys

Yeah put some boot grease (Red wing boot oil, Hubbards shoe grease or mink oil or many other brands) on there twice a year it would have to extend the life of that pouch I would think anyway. you should be oiling your work boots a couple times a year anyway.

  • @DanTheMan-tr2ji

Yes! I have started to use Mink Oil recently on all of my leather tool pouches, as well as my boots. Though admittedly, I haven't been consistent with oiling my leather boots, but I am pretty consistent with the toolpouches and they look nearly brand new since I created this video. Thanks for the watch, and the suggestion! I greatly appreciate it.
