Me saying that doesn't invalidate her experience, identity and how others have treated her badly but I genuinely just feel like her not being able to have a dialogue where she leaves the conversation learning something, or teaching others something - to me that's something she needs to work on and it has nothing to do with her drag or talent, it's about her, and what her flaws are as just a human being not The Vixen. Bob just had a Zoom through the sibling rivalry patreon and explained the situation. In the interview, Monet said that she grew up in St Lucia where everyone else was Black, so she didn't experience racism and wasn't really aware of it. When she moved to New York and started regularly interacting with white people, she began to see, experience, and understand the reality of racism. It was a massive distortion on The Vixen's part.

Vixen's whole underlying beef seems to be that if you are successful in any way, you cannot have suffered oppression or bigotry in any way or understand the bigotry others have suffered who are not as blessed as you... Ignoring the fact that just because Monet might not have experienced racism growing up in Saint Lucia, doesn't mean she might not have experienced it elsewhere. It's the same kind of oppression olympics I've seen people using in arguments against why Gottmik had 'any need' to go on Drag Race or how his own experiences of transphobia simply won't effect him as much - because he's white, successful, male and has a strong support network. Rather than all sides support each other, groups of oppressed and minority people now argue among themselves about who has it worse and whos experiences are more valid or 'real' oppression (as a feminist I see this constantly with women now as well). When the real enemy is on the outside, making them attack each other from within. It's so irritating.

I love The Vixen's voice as a Drag artist, but she's so defensive and the thing about being defensive is that you take everything as a personal attack.

Who is gaslighting Tamisha? What are they gaslighting her about? Why can’t Monet critique other queens of color? I have to agree with the brick comment: Vixen threw a brick and now wants to run away from it. Maybe the fight for black drag equality would be faster if we didn’t have to critique our fellow queen’s looks (black or otherwise). What’s worse, maybe you ARE a person who loves a lot of looks that other people loathe, but sadly, positive doesn’t sell as much as negative. Or worse, as a society, we’ve equated positivity with inauthenticity. But to just bulldoze over all that nuance with “Monet makes a living from poking fun at queens of color” repackages what should really be “Monet gains some income from giving her true thoughts on what she thinks of the drag of other queens”. The Vixen, essentially, created a click bait headline with her tweet, and I truly mean a clear cut definition of click bait: attention grabbing but inaccurate, misleading, or flat out not true. Does it reflect her feelings? Yes. But if people clarify their intent, and you think their actions should 100% change because of your feelings, that is not reasonable. That doesn’t advance black drag, that doesn’t reduce fandom toxticity, and overall, makes you look like you just want to shoot your own movement in the foot.

Being so "woke and "pro black", Vixen should understand that not everyone wants to talk about that everytime they're asked and sometimes you glaze over it because it can be excruciatingly exhausting and triggering trauma is not an event you want to undergo all the time. Whether Monet actually did experience it or not, that doesn't give you permission to use that against her and attempt to invalidate her blackness or her love of it. The Vixen weaponizes her blackness, the history of transgressions towards her and people like her against those that don't fit into what she thinks they should or don't act according to how she believes they should which is....comical coming from someone with such a polarizing personality. I'm glad Bob was the one that had this talk because anyone else probably would've gotten too irritated to continue talking to someone that can't keep a consistent viewpoint and quite literally fights just too fight while acting like they never wanted to fight in the first place. "Throw a brick and hide your hands." - the perfect quote for her.

Vixen reminds me of my mum. Very defensive, but it comes from a hurt, you saw Vixens face light up and nearly tear up as Bob was washing her with love. She is a spiky person, and is over defensive, but they need love and warmth. That's all.

I think The Vixen is legendary and can be the most powerful representation she can be. But instead she chooses to be angry constantly in the wrong directions.

Since the moment she lashed at everyone back in season 10 when she failed the Snatch Game, I already knew that she has some deep deep problems that are borderline narcissistic and victim complex. It's not about her feuds with Eureka, Aquaria or even RuPaul, it's at that moment, the Untucked after the Snatch Game. That's her true personality. And honestly, I found that disgusting. And look at her now, lashing again on yet other queens, even her fellow black queens and she accused them of copying concept???? Does she even know what Intellectual Property and concept are?? Black Queer Town Hall and Black Girl Magic are wholly different shows. The only similarity shared in those shows is that the casts are fully black.

I was team Vixen for the longest time but she has a very real problem that requires therapy! The fact she has neglected it this long is unfortunate. I truly hope she realizes that she's the aggressor in a majority of these situations and needs serious help, I'm not saying her life experiences are invalid but have yet shaped her to be who she is now and has embedded an anger in her that needs further assistance to help her live a healthy non toxic lifestyle. That stress is not good on anybody!
