    I´m a woodwork teacher using this wonderful table saw several times a week. The only problem is to get spare parts to the machines from Kity due to the company closing down 10+ years ago because os bankruptcy...

    Its a good table saw, I had to put a bit of work into mine to get it right, I made a vid on restoring parts of it. There are links in the description of that video for where you can get the parts. Best of luck with your new saw and thanks for the comment!

    @@JohnMcGrathManInShed Thanks, interestingly the seller says it's a 30 bore 260mm blade size and not the 250mm you specified although I had trouble finding the fine cutting blade as the 260 sizes.

    I have a kity 0618, similar to yours. How do I adjust the belt tension please? The blade now slows down with a heavy cut even with a new blade. Thanks Gordon

    2 1/2 hp will be great. I have not seen a table saw with this number of features short of a commercial grade costing many thousands of US dollars. I think you got quite a nice saw and like you said some love and care is mostly all that is needed. By the way, I noticed your workbench in the background. Did you build it? I don’t see a video. I’m interested in that in addition to tracking your progress on the table saw. I think you got a great saw.

One thing thou I’m having trouble getting replacement blades 280mm I think , where did you get yours I’m located in London mind you. Wish I had the room you have there not enough room for the sliding table in my garage. Lol

    Hi my motor on my 619 sticks for a second or so as it starts as if a bearing is dry, do you have any ideas on how to stop this? Thanks

  • @JohnMcGrathManInShed

    @JohnMcGrathManInShed

    5 жыл бұрын

    The bearings may need to be replaced , so it might be a case of pulling the motor and taking it to be serviced. Check and make sure the belt and pulleys are ok, check it by hand and see if you can feel where it is binding (unplugged of course)

    Is it noisy when its running does it sound rough? If its a bearing you should be able to hear it.

    Hi John, A friend of mine saw this machine at a woodworking show about 25 years ago, and within 6 months he asked me to keep my eyes open for one. I was a shopfitter at the time working all over the country, I was on my way back home one Friday, I live in Notts, I had been working in the Smoke (London), I knew of a woodwork machinery shopin Northampton so I called in. They had just been to a woodworking show where they had been demonstrating the 1619, I made some enquiries about price, I rang my friend and told him he could have the saw as it stood, with sliding table and two side extensions for £800, the machine NEW would have been £1250, so being in the right place at the right time, saved him £450. Sadly, my friend passed away unexpected in 2006, to my surprise, he had left ALL his woodworking machinery and tools to me, I am STILL using the 1619, I dont use the sliding table very often, when I put it on, it seems to catch on the table. Would it be possible to do a video on how to adjust the brackets that hold the arm to the table and also how to adjust ALL the bearings that guide the table on the rail? I think you did a good job of the two videos that you have already done on the 1619, explained everything in easy to understand jargon. Keep up the good work, its a thumbs up and subscribe from me.

    I forgot to mention I have got one of the angle finder boxes, had it for about 7 years, brilliant for adjusting table saw blades and mitre saw blades, anyone who reads this comment I suggest you get one, available on e-bay and amazon.

    @@alandobb950 Hi Alan, I have done a bit of restoration work on it, I have replaced all the bearings and rollers on the cross cut carriage and now it is sweet as a nut and glides beautifully. I have made a video on it if you want to check it out. Thanks for sharing the story and for watching.
