Kitchen Workstation Furniture is one of YesterTec's Alternative Kitchen Solutions that has been created to offer an entirely different way of designing kitchens as compared to designs that use standard built-in cabinetry. But it is not a new concept, rather its origin is deeply based throughout history. YesterTec has simply revived the age old concept of a furnished kitchen and added technology that will allow it to be relevant far into the future.
YesterTec has developed U.L. Listed technology so that their Kitchen Workstations can safely hide the 'hot' appliances. This technology is unique in all the world, and it is the primary key that allows cabinetry to be transformed into pieces of furniture. But there are so many other subtle design parameters that you will discover in these videos that contribute to the success of this revolutionary concept.

Excellent video!! Lots to think about. We just bought a house with kitchen cabinets that were really poor quality probably even 30 years ago when they were installed, so we're looking to rip everything out and start from scratch. However, custom built-ins are beyond our budget/ability - so we are trying to be very thoughtful about the furniture kitchen design!
I absolutely love this. in fact i have already designed my kitchen as an east corner room with windows on two outside walls and pictures/paintings on the two other walls between doors. NO UPPER CABINETS! i do have some open shelving bet. the windows and above the sink. only "cabinets" are the sink/dw/and drawer. there is a corner china cabinet and wall china cabinet for everyday dishes, etc. two credenzas for small appliances and pots and pans. a center workstation (on legs and can be moved) sink is cast iron, stove is a duel fuel heartland free standing range (elect oven and gas burners)

oh, and a scullery off the kitchen containing laundry, more cabinet storage, freezers and even a small sewing area.
I love this IDEA. But the examples were poor. I found them to be bulky, dark, outdated, and cluttered. In this day and age of smaller and smaller living , I would have like to see lighter colours, modern look, and use of verticle space. A more upbeat narrator. I'm not clear which customer/audience you're trying to reach. Great idea not well executed. Just my opinion.

I think that these types of kitchens are suited for houses that are spacious.
