UNFITTED KITCHEN
Unfitted Kitchen. Paige said we were doing an unfitted kitchen. I had no idea what that meant, or more importantly, what it entailed. Here is our true process of producing an unfitted kitchen. The final pics will not be available until October when our stove finally arrives (we hope)!

Beautiful old architecture and decor
Oh my gosh I can't wait to see the end result! Those cabinets are amazing!!
Wow, this was an amazing project. Love everything about it. The raw wood "look" is so timeless. A little creativity and breaking out of the norm can go a long way! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful and inspiring project.

You are so sweet and you have done my heart good🥰 we are new to you tube and if you noticed we had some not so kind comments about the raw light wood😞🤷🏻♀️ but we still love it😜 just surprised people felt the need to be critical 😳
I turned my great room (15 x 25) into a free-standing or "un-kitchen." I only paid about $200 per piece for two open hutch china cabinets purchased second-hand from Habitat for Humanity's ReStore. I left them as they were. Added a colonial style table and chair set and a farm table. There's a small area off from the room where electrical wires are gathered. I use that space for a small pantry. All I need to add now is a ceramic tile floor and a farm sink. There was already a 220-240 electric line in the room which at one time was a utility room. There's also a utility sink in the room. So I just brought my stove, fridge, and dishwasher into the room. I took down my kitchen cabinets in my former kitchen and turned that room into the dining room. I turned my former dining room into a living room, and my former living room into a study/library. I spent almost nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Wow that is amazing!! I love when we can reimagine a whole space transforming it into something unique and beautiful 😍
The dark wood stain looked so rich and expensive; while the bleached just looks "unfinished", and cheapy.

I agree, that really looks wrong … and dry, like its midway through a refinishing process. I kept wanting to rub some orange oil on it.
I believe the wood is meant to be dark walnut.
I think it’s absolutely beautiful 💖
Love you guys! Team work!!! That's what it's all about!

You are so sweet. We sure try hard 😆
When you use oxalic acid, you REALLY have to rinse the item well after bleaching. Rinse it, wash it down, use a squeegy on it, then rub it as dry as possible. Then sand it thoroughly. Bleaching wood can be a pain, so you really have to want it to go through all the mess.
They are still beautiful.
Well she took them home and proceeded to ruin them.
You could have done a white wash over the wood and it would give you that white wood look
The cabinets are beautiful, but marble is easy to scratch and absorbs stains.

I KNOW😯all the negative things about marble but I love it 🥰 I also found an amazing thrifty way to get marble counters. They now make 24”x48 marble tiles. They cost $60-$80!! I had them cut to fit the curves of my cabinet with a water jet. That was $50!! They are not thick like a counter but look appropriate for an antique cabinet. They look beautiful and I’m not stressed over messing them up ❤️
So cute
Lucky dog.
Why dont you whitewash?
