KITCHEN TALK - 56 WU-TANG CLAN CAPPADONNA TALKS HIS WU RELATIONSHIP, JAIL, FIRST CHECK, AND MORE
Maino, Georgie, and Hala sit with hip hop artist, WuTang Clans own Cappadonna. They talk about his entrance to the group, being incarcerated, and watching the WuTang blow up his disagreement with RZA and his relationships with the other members.
Darryl Hill, better known by his stage name Cappadonna, is an American rapper. He is a member of the hip-hop collective the Wu-Tang Clan and is a member of the rap group
Cappadonna was a member of the early stages of what to become the Wu-Tang Clan in the early 1990s, with RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon. However, he was sent to prison and replaced by Method Man. He made his recording debut as an affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan on Raekwon's hit single "Ice Cream". He was a guest star, along with Raekwon, on Ghostface Killah's 1996 debut solo album Ironman. Cappadonna made his first appearances on a Wu-Tang album in 1997 on Wu-Tang Forever, including on the lead single "Triumph". Following his Forever appearances, he contributed significantly to the group's third album, The W, in 2000, at which point his appearances were no longer marked with "Featuring Cappadonna", as they had been on Forever.

Cappadonna comes across as a really genuine dude..and I'm not talking as a fan or his role in the clan. Same with Maino. These cats come across as really good dudes aside from their public personas. I'm 45 and a product of the hip-hop generation when we walked around in the 90s barely smiling and to become an older man who's aging gracefully and enjoying life, I love seeing this level of positivity.

What RZA pulled off is absolutely remarkable. To get 10 brothers to come together & see the bigger pic is absolutely crazy. Not only that the guy produced like how many god damn classics where he produced those records those albums from front to back. I’m probably going to miss an album but off the top Cuban Linz, Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Return to 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, Tical, and don’t front on U God’s Golden Arms Redemption. His album is slept on crazy. Then you got the group albums. Wu Forever, 36 Chambers, 8 Diagrams, The W, Iron Flag and The Saga Continues. I’ve named 13 albums off the top. I’m sure some will debate some of these albums saying some are trash. For me, all these albums are dope. There’s another Wu album I’m assuming they don’t consider a Wu album that’s dope that I remember all the members being on. Either 8 Diagrams or this album I can’t remember was dope but had so many skits it made the album messy but the music was dope and the crazy part about it is they made it so u couldn’t skip the skits or you’d skip the song

48:33 "How you gonna play it?" "Get a CD player!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That whole conversation about the CD player was hilarious. The way Maino turned his head at 51:17 when Cappadonna said thats why we not economically stable as Black people.

Bro, I bought a CD player with a radio on Amazon for 20 bucks. It's just like vinyl, record players still exist. You just have to want to hear it. CD's will never die because you will always have vintage people who are interested in staying within a particular era.
