The color is beautiful. I like it a lot. The green is such a lovely green. The white does seem a bit thick, but I am not an expert. Can you use a small roller? It would probably be easier on you. Progress has happened very quickly. I know you must be rapt with that. Your home and property is beautiful. Brava.

The problem with rollers in a small space is that they don’t get into the corners so you end up using a paintbrush as well. It seems to have worked out ok 😀💕

Hello from Rhode Island, the smallest state in the USA. For reference, we're located between Boston and New York. I was born in a tiny village outside Porto de Mós in the Leiria district. Love that Tomar was the headquarters of the legendary knights Templar. Sounds magical! Good job finding reliable tradesmen in Portugal, it's not easy. Not unusual that they don't show up on Friday, sometimes Monday too, especially if there's a feast in town 😄. Mad respect for what you are doing! 🥰🇵🇹

The plumber still has lots to connect, electrician not so much. Sliding doors very nice and touch ups and snag list. Write it all down and tick it off, so none forgotten! Hello Suzie, Next week will be the most exciting. Watching every little job being finished and thinking it's nearly there now. Remember those times sp well in France when I had 3 small rooms knocked into one to make a new kitchen diner. Don't forget to buy your special meal and of course a bottle of something nice to drink. Susie, make a list of unfinished things. Would suggest you make sure they correct the things you are not able to do: plumbing,windows on roof, sliding doors, bathroom etc. And make sure you are there to monitor every movement. I watch a lot of videos and once they leave, they will not come back. Or if you have not paid them in full then wait until they finish. Be patient and if it takes a little longer it will not matter. Good luck to you. Beautiful property and lots of potential. Lots of love from Florida.

Hi Susi lovely watching your bldg. Have never seen that decorative wood used in your trim in your bedroom area. It I’d gorgeous even without the Linseed oil. Can you tell us what the name of the tree is? Please make a list of everything you want done so your builders know they have to cross off every thing before they are completely finished. They will appreciate it to as it means they don’t need to make a lot of return trips to do things they may have forgotten. I am living in Georgia USA.

It’s so beautiful. I think it’ll be done within 2 weeks. Love the stonework and so much light. The green you chose is supposed to be the color of the year. 🇨🇦 eh!

Oh my God, it's so darn gorgeous! Surely they will be able to finish next week, if not, maybe just a couple of extra days. That wood is warping a bit because it may be still wet, or there is a lot of humidity, or something. The burning thing they did should have helped dry the wood out. Not to mention have an amazing effect. Anyway, I can't wait to see the finished result. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦

I'm a big green fan too, great choice. It's not going to be long before you are fully moved in and I am so envious. Just one thing I missed though, the doorway on the outside next to the bedroom, is that a useable space that can be incorporated into the house, for some reason I felt like it could have been a bathroom...

I’m using a special chalky paint that doesn’t need a primer. But has a wax coat put over the top of the paint. It’s looking good 😀💕

Kira, that’s great that you are looking to buy land and I’m so glad my videos have been helpful. I want to buy traditional Portuguese homeware and love a bargain. They have plenty of shops here to choose where you buy things. It’s all a balance of quality and price. Olx is a great resource for buying second hand. It’s like market place. I will talk about furnishings in a later video as well as costs. 🙏💕

The finished tout hints takes a lot of time to do it.

Definitely not going to be finished in a week, think you have quite a few problems to get sorted there Suzi. It'll be lovely when it's done but I'd be hitting the wine bottle every night if it was me. Good luck with getting all the popped wood fixed properly, just as well the builders are still on site to see their handiwork needing attention. Can't see how the electric cable could be moved above the worktop as there's no access above the timber that I can see.

It’s quite a list. It can be a little stressful at times but I am detached from it as I’ve got my own space to retreat to. To move the cable is a matter of removing the board and cutting a new hole for it and filling the existing hole. 😀💕

🤣🤣 It’s actually not been too high a cost. I had a budget which I will have gone over by about €5000 euros but that’s because I chose to spend a little more on quality products. 😀

The wood burner is going in the living room area. They are going to have to make a hole in the wall. Don’t want to jeopardise the integrity of the roof. It’s a harder job to go through the wall but a better one 😀
