Island and Peninsula Electrical Change:
Receptacle outlets for islands and peninsulas are no longer able to be installed below the countertop and work surface level.
Please get advice from an Electrician and/or Builder and/or Design Professional in your area before planning electrical in these locations.
Section 210.52(C)(3) has also been revised for the 2023 NEC, essentially to provide the following three options for where island and peninsula receptacle outlets can be installed (paraphrased):
1. On or above countertop or work surfaces, but no more than 20 inches above.
2. In a countertop using a receptacle outlet assembly listed for use in countertops.
3. In a work surface using a receptacle outlet assembly listed for use in work surfaces or listed for use in countertops.

Could you please suggest a good combination of white cabinet paint + white backsplash subway tile and white quart countertop for an all white kitchen. There are so many shades of white - hard to match. Thanks!

Yes, this is so true! It is very important to take all colors, even whites, into your home to see how they are appearing. All whites have undertones that show up differently based upon the lighting in and outside your home and colors in your home. Some of our favorite white paint colors to use are: Sherwin Williams Pure White, Snowbound and Simply White; or Benjamin Moore White Dove or Chantilly Lace.

what do you recommend for corner cabinets?

For a blind lower corner cabinet, we like the LeMans II by Hafele. We have used these in a full height corner cabinet as well. You can see that in our Kitchen Storage and Organization Ideas video.
