Kenshi is being snarky because this version is part of the yakuza like organization. Subzero BI Han is ruthless unlike his younger brother Kuai Liang. Also it's a fight everyone would have intros that gets in someone's skin, to create a conflict like scenario. I can see certain characters hating on Kitana, mostly the known Evil factions. Mileena, Tanya, Rain, Subzero, etc. Baraka in this is more of a freedom fighter for his fellow Tarkatans.

Kitana and Mileena might have their roles switched in this timeline.. in the sense: Kitana is actually the clone created by Shang Tsing and wants to steal the throne as this role has always been the clone’s purpose.. and the clone is a creation of that 🐍

I predict that shang tsung creates the tarkat disease, wanted to infect kitana but got mileena instead when reptile ruined it hence the other intros about shang tsungs experiments in sub zeros dialogue and reptile causing a commotion scene
