Looks like a nice Neve channel strip.

I bought it when the first version was released and I was a bit disappointed but now with Version 2 they took the crown. It sounds so analog it almost hurts 🚀

I suggest you watch Paul Third's review where he clearly shows that this plugin is definitively broken. Should you watch it I'd be fascinated to see a rebuttal.

Hi Trevor. That video was with regards to the first release of the plugin (V1) which as I understand had a bit of a bumpy ride. My video is looking at V2 which has received some glowing reviews from very well regarded publications, it really is a cracker and well worth giving a try for yourself. Does this have a preamp on it, or can I use it instead of a preamp plugin?

@@MusicChannel-rf5zz Well, when i record through my outboard preamp, then it is the first one! When i use midi instruments and samples i put the preamp (often Little Radiator) after the N105. But its the matter of taste i guess...

How about vs Channev? Major differences? I've been curious for a while...

Hey my friend. Sound wise I just love this one from Kit. I don't have the EV2 but have used the SSL Waves E series a fair bit. For me, sound wise, I just love the sound from the Blackbird, certainly more coloured than the SSL so try it out first but if I had to choose I'd grab the Blackbird.

When the v1 demo came out I demo'd it and loved the eq but I found it a bit buggy and decided to go with the NoiseAsh NEED 31102. Now I'm really digging that plugin's sound and now this v2 comes out with the bugs worked out. Oh well! Maybe Santa will bring it to me for Christmas.

Yeah they seem to have a had a few issues at launch for sure but have certainly sorted this one out now. It really is a special plugin now they've ironed out those bugs. Totally agree, the eq is just great
