There is no doubt that no one can match the Versatality & high pitch & softness of Rafee saab. Rafee saab was asked to sing a song for Kishore Daa when he was in a movie Ragini. Rafee saab songs are very difficult to sing. He is truely the voice of the God. What is impossible for other singers Rafee makes them possible.

Rafi was a classical trained singer, with unmatched popularity - be it, Kishore, Lata or anyone, he reigned supreme. Santosh, you're totally incorrect in saying Kishore's voice suited every actor. Indeed, it was Rafi's voice that fitted hand in glove with every actor. There's absolutely no comparison to Rafi's superiority. Do listen to Mannadey, when he puts himself as #2 behind Rafi, while ALL others were way below them. Anyways, it your opinion but public sentiments, universally tilt in Rafi's favor. RAfi Saab created his own style. KishoreDa, albeit brilliant playback, was a continuation of Saigal Saab. RAfi Saab voice was velvet and had a kanak that’s never been heard before.

Unki aawaz mei kucch khubiyan this jo KISI mei nahi thi: Deep voice Kharaj, bulandi, yodelling, bharpur aur gazab ka dard, superbly controlled vibrato, har Tarah ki aawazein nikaalna, best comedy songs, shashtriya gaano ko bina koi training aasani se Gaana ( God Given Gift), range ( decided by how many octaves are covered: अति मंद्र से ऊंचा तार) almost 3 + octaves and just like Rafi sahib, sabhi hero ke liye aawaz match Karna aur har Tarah ke gaane Gaana. People who have commented below have given their personal opinions about Rafi Saab and Kishore Da, which is ok. However, If you look at the history of Hindi film music, Rafi Saab was always way ahead of all his contemporaries. Except R.D. Burman, all music Directors like Madan Mohan, Ravi, Naushad, Shankar- Jaikishan, S D Burmsn, Lakshmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanjil Anandji, Roshan etc have used Rafi Saab for a majority of their compositions. Kishore Da shot into prominence because the phenomenon - Rajesh Khanna wanted to create a new trend and have a 'voice' for himself. With the downfall of Rajesh Khanna, Rafi was once again supreme- from 'Teri Galiyon me rakhenge Kadam' , Laila Majhnu, AAA etc.

Kishore Kumar was the most versatile male playback singer in India. He had a very soulful malleable voice which he used in a very creative way to suit the lips of actors belonging to different generations and genres. No singer experimented on style of singing the way he did. He brought life, thrill, romance, agony and ecstasy and wide of gamuts of human emotions through his astronomical vocal renditions . Whereas other singers were products of tradition . Kishore Kumar was an artist to give vocal music a new dimension..creating a new idiom of his own that was very very original.

India is blessed to have both rafi sahab and Kishore da. One cannot count their contribution to hindi cinema. Hindi music is incomplete without them or one of them. They are my favorite singers. Enjoy their songs and stop this who is better debate. They were best of friends. Kishore da even on stage said rafi sahab meray bhaio jaisay thay…. Comparison nehi ho sakta Dono class hi alag hai .... Par Rafi Sahab ka gana Dil me basta haai ... Dono hi kalakar upawale den hai Jo lakho me ek hai ... Humne uparwale ko nehi dekha leka lekin inko dekha ... Kayse ek untrained singer ek se badh kar ek different gana ko super hit banaya jata hai kishor ji se koi sikhe .... Both were legendary singers.60's was Rafi era, 70's was the Kishore era.

The peek period of rafi sahab was 1953 to 1969 and while kishore kumar sahab had reached at his peek in 1970 and it ended with his death in 1987. Rafi sahab is above any sort of comparison with any singer in all over the world. Kishore sahab was also the great singer but hs singing talent was limited in the comparison of Rafi sahab.

@@pallabphukan8304 Formal training is very much required for sing classical Or other raag based songs. This is why the numbers of such kind of songs were limited enough in the career of kishore kumar ji. On the contrary Mohd. Rafi sahab was master class in singing alk type of songs. He had sung many classical, folk based or raag based songs. His voice quality was brilliant enough to deliver perfectly.

@@veenamadan6342 no it's fault of music directors not Kishore da because Kishore da can singh Ghazals classical raaga bases songs with classical touches KISHORE da is multitalented versatile. Without formal training Kishore Kumar was so much talented.

@@pallabphukan8304 if kishore kumar had the skills for singling classical and raga based songs in its pure format then music directors in 70s would have surely given him these types of songs. Music director exactly knows that how much skilled and capable any singer for any type of songs and it's absolutely true. The voice of kishore kumar was his asset but it was not an instrumental towards singing all kinds of songs.

Rafi sab the playback singer of history nobody can't beat him till world 💗🌹👍
