Started listening to Nick Drake over 20 years ago and of all the music genres I love I have to say his music/lyrics have really shaped a large part of my life. This cover by Kirsty is just beautiful, she has a perfect voice! x

A part of this songs appeal to me is that the vocals have a certain flow to it that goes really well with the fast paced guitar. She made it her own, only i think she obstructed that "flow" abit. I think i might be a tinsy bit Drake puritan though, so dont listen to me too much haha...

From what I've read (speaking as a non-guitarist drummer), Nick used unusual tunings on his guitar. He never wrote down what they were, and there is no known moving footage of him. The guitarist here did his best to at least capture the spirit of piece. I still favor the original, especially with Danny Thompson's brilliant upright bass. But the addition of the piano and the Cor Anglais here is a nice touch.
