Part 1 of my visit to the Kirkless Light Railway on 21st July 2018, which happened to be on their Day Out With Thomas weekend.
At Clayton West station, the following engines were in action providing shuttle services for the passengers:
* 1991-built Kerr Stuart-designed 0-6-4ST "Badger" (Percy the Small Engine) and 1998-built Kiston Meyer-designed 0-4-0+0-4-0T "Hawk" (Thomas the Tank Engine)
* 1992-built Diesel-Hydraulic "Jay" (Mavis the Quarry Diesel)
On passenger service was 2000-built Avonside Engine Co Heisler Locomotive 0-4-0+0-4-0TG "Owl", which you may notice doesn't wear a face despite it being a Thomas weekend. I'd learnt about Mattel's policy during the day which is explained in this video.
