that's the thing about 4kids. they could never be faithful to the subs that they were dubbing and always ended up ruining them one way or another, but they sure knew how to make things hilarious and their voice actors always had fun

Kirby can't speak and his only voice is a fucking nonsensical little girl so there is really no reason to like him other than he is the protagonist. Meta Knight is an edgy fuck and no one else except Dedede gets much character development. Yeah, it isn't much of a surprise that Dedede and Escargoon are my favorite characters out of the bunch.

I watched Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventure, and the antagonist (Betrayus) also was more villainous in the first episode, and then became a joke.

Just now realize how much we need a new Kirby Anime in the typical 4K cutscene style

I never really understood why this anime kept switching between the 2d animation and 3d models, but I guess it was a stylistic choice or something. Either way, it really helped it stand out more from the other 4kids shows, and heck, I remember it.

One of the episodes actually explain that they use CGI for easier animation on some parts to save money and time. There's literally an episode where Dedede tries to use CGI to finish his cartoon.
