I admire how you stand your ground on the anime being canon, but it ultimately raises a lot of questions and contradictions regarding lore to many (including myself). However, something I regret about my video is ultimately leaving it to the viewer, like I did for "How tall is Kirby". You can't really take every comment Kumazaki (or any other Kirby dev) makes as 100% canon, because if we did, every single Kirby project would be on its own timeline and such. But I do appreciate how you bring in new information regarding the Pause Description in your comment; how you mention Nova's assumedly "Automatic Language Detection"; and how you take down my admittedly weak Mario and Link Argument. Oh yeah, and going over that Kirby Mom tangent, probably a dream, or Kirby mimmicking behavior, or who knows?! That leading to the Super Hero Ramble, which as the image you share says, Is supposed to be what Kirby imagines when he thinks of a Hero (also masculine presenting non-binary people exist, I'm one of them, lol). Overall pretty interesting rebuttal that pushes me to strive for more in the next video, that's for sure!! Dear Nova... I've got a bunch of Interviews to read now 😖

I agree. Kirby can think in full coherent thoughts, that doesn’t mean he can speak them

Saying you are *the* Kirby lore master and you think the anime is canon is like saying you believe in Science and in spontaneous generation.

@Magic_Ice did you even watch the video? Kumazaki had a interview where he talking about bringing the games and anime closer together, and fueling both sides of the argument. If you want to say this is wrong than you better get translating and prove it.

@xtroyr_5747 ever since epic yarn it's mostly been called galaxia, in planet robobot the final smash galaxia darkness became a canon move, but in forgotten land when kirby uses it its just called "meta knight sword" but it's usually called galaxia even in canon.

calling yourself "THE kirby lore guy" and then talking about the "kirby = void" headcanon is hilariously ironic

the void dark matter kirby family tree is a fact because dark matter was confirmed to be able to create anything from memory, and we see void and kirby do that in star allies with no explanation.

@RHVGamer no I didn't make a different reply, at least I don't remember making one. As with most things the dark matter memeory lore is vague, "you may have noticed that in this game, Dark Matter’s sword shines with a rainbow light. This light is materialized from Dark Matter’s memories of the Rainbow Sword that he faced in the Kirby’s Dream Land 2 game. Those memories must have been included in the original data used to create the clone." 2 ways to read this: 1. the data is dark matter's memories which where copied into the clone 2. The data refers to the actual biology of dark matter including his ability to create from memory. Either way kirby and void still very clearly have this ability with no elaboration.

@@TheRealSuperKirby there is not a single other instance of dark matter or any relative cloning something from their memory so it's definitely just the clone. kirby also cannot clones things from his memories. he gets abilities based on certain things he inhales, obviously. and there is still not a single reason to believe kirby is a void. it's literally just an innocent headcanon that has nothing proving or disproving it, but which was obviously never intended to be the reason why void looks like kirby. (also nvm about the other reply thing apparently it was some other user, the person who posted the screenshots on dscord didn't show the username so i thought it was more recent. i still recommend joining the server though since it's easier to talk there)

-The anime and games are both set in Dream Land and both feature Kirby's house, Castle Dedede, etc., but for them to be "separated in setting" would imply that the setting is different between the two, i.e. not the same Dream Land, so either there are two kingdoms on Popstar both named Dream Land and ruled by Dedede (unlikely) or they're separate canons, at least that's how I'd interpret it -I find it strange that you're adamant the anime is canon and yet reject Kirby's Avalanche, I'm not sure how the fact that it's a Puyo Puyo reskin changes anything, and it's hardly the only Kirby game to feature unique elements that never reappeared

@Hewer86 well for starters that translation isn't a 100% accurate, my friend translated it and got completely different words, that one isn't 100% accurate either but still. Setting could also refer to the scenario, events, character roles. In the games the setting is always "you're kirby, you're the hero, go do the thing" in the anime kirby is a hero in training, but without even really realizing it, he needs guidance from meta knight the the cappies, it doesn't have the same structure, or "setting" as the games' stories. I'm not SUPER adamant on avalanche being non canon, but I'm one of the few who has even considered ANY of the mini game-esque being canon. I'm not familiar with puyo puyo but I saw a puyo fan say avalanche just carries over world building from that franchise, going as far to say it takes place in that universe, and their claim does make sense, kirby and co. are suddenly all integrated in this "ghost trap" game that never gets mentioned again, or even explained how it works in universe. And while many will point to kirby acting out of character, meta knight even more-so, he's antagonistic and mischievous. Even in his most evil appearances he's was always been chivalrous in attitude.

You said Kirby is Void as if it were a fact. That doesn't invalidate your whole video, but it does make me question everything you say more. The Void thing is just an unconfirmed fan theory and should never be used as a fact Also since you consider the anime to be canon, what about the Mangas and light novels? It'd be pretty strange if you only consider one external Kirby media canon. Those both depict Kirby speaking, so how would you explain that?

I haven't had the chance to read many of the Manga and light novels, when I do I am paying close attention to see if they are canon or not, unfortunately most of them turn out non-canon from events that contradict what happens in the games.

Void isn't even related to Dark Matter or Kirby. It got the Dark Matter from Hyness since he worshipped it, and the Kirby parts come from Kirby's strong positive influence. As Shinya Kumazaki said, and as the light novels also confirm, Void was just mimicking Kirby's face due to his positive influence. Your statement about contradictions with the games is pretty ironic considering the anime has plenty of those
