this is by far the most comprehensive videos detailing options to reserve the kirby cafe. thumbs up! for those who wanted to snag the reservation, the spots are hard and requires a lot of determination (a lot of mouse clicking) but very much possible. once you hit the 6PM JST, you need to be firm and fast with the chosen date as it will be “locked” the moment the user clicks on it, choose fast or else you have to wait 10 minutes (1810 JST) to get the released slot if the said user did not go through with the reservation. good luck everyone! 🎉

My son is so bummed out! He wants to go to pokemon and Kirby cafe but we can’t get a spot and we are headed to Japan for our first trip soon. It’s good your kids got to go though, their reactions were adorable and priceless :) Most who post videos don’t even have a kid which is fine but are most influencers taking up spots and probably bots too I’m guessing.

Hi, please keep trying for Kirby, spots open up. Pokemon is much more difficult unless you are going to Osaka as well. If you don't get to go, don't worry there are tons of other cute anime stuff everywhere.

We will go back to Malaysia and stay for a year, after our 3 month trip to Japan. It was a good opportunity for us to visit Japan again, which is one of our favorite countries.

HI, so glad it was helpful! You can write in katakana but it will take English as well. It's not as strict as Pokemon cafe! Hotel number should work fine. Good luck, you'll have a great time :)

Thank you for the clip. My kids love Kirby and I want to surprise them with this cafe. I tried to make reservation online just now at 6pm Tokyo time. It did work. But it requires a cellphone number to finalize the booking and I do not have a Japanese number. Can you advise on this?

Hey Kensho Quest, thank you for this great video. :) I was told by a friend that you needed a Japanese phone number in order to make a reservation and wanted to know if this was the case for you and you need a Japanese phone number ready to input when you make a reservation.

Hi, We did enter a Japanese phone number when making the reservation. We have a SIM card with a local number from Mobal. If you don't have a local number, I would just enter your hotel's phone number. 🌺 Heidi

hello! i’ve always wanted to go to this cafe, but do you HAVE to know Japanese in order to go? i know it would be quite beneficial to know a few words and phrases, but would someone be able to successfully go if their Japanese was very limited / nonexistent? does the menu have any english text on it?

Hi, you will have no problem. All of the staff we encountered spoke a little english and the waiter was near fluent. They do have English menus as well.

Hi, correct that all the reservations are full for July. However, it is still very possible to get reservations by using the second method we discuss in the video. That is to check the reservation page regularly when your desired date gets near. If you have a small group you have a much better chance. Please check the reservation page after 10:00 pm for best options and check often. Good luck!

Look forward to experiencing this... but do people in other countries lounge in a restaurant for over 90 minutes??? Unless they are under-staffed, we've never intentionally stayed at any restaurant (around the world) for that long for a non-event. Just odd.

@KenshoQuest hi. The reservations were gone in 5 minutes. We wrote the furigana part in english. I hope that's not an issue. We did get the email confirming our reservation. My family of 4, we all went online to reserve, only one of us got a reservation. So we're happy to get one. Thank you for your video, it helped us so much.

I see a future chemist. Never heard of Kirby, but it's harder to get a reservation than it is at the French Laundry.😂

It did ask for a phone number. You could try entering your phone number, or your hotel’s number. We got a local number through Mobal, since we’ll be here a few months.
