Might be an idea to sell a waterproof saddle bag that has a battery carry bag with shoulder strap in it. Would make taking the battery with you when locking the bike up easily. Would also make you look less odd carrying it round the shops, office, pub.
having the best time ever feels like some unrealistic childhood dream has come true so much fun 52v 2k diy kit .. works like a dream bro about 3 of my mates are trying to get money together now to order there own 😂 everybody that’s had a go can’t believe how much fun it is , way beyond all our expectations andy thanks again for the work you and Steve from dude stuff Have done for us all the detailed videos are perfect mate keep it up , Jason and Charles too thanks again guys for the rapid shipping and well detailed emails 😎🚲
Seems like a really great little kit to convert your bike into electric powered. I bet you're going to sell a tonne of these kits, fair play. Great product.
This is deffo what I need for my bike, an 'ebike' which is heavy will make things hard as I live on a boat BUT a kit like this is just waht I need xx
Thanks Andy. Hope to get one of these to spruce up an old 650B MB I have in the garage :)
Best puncture prevention I have found is Oko tyre sealant - the big bottle stuff for tractors and off-road vehicles. Much cheaper than the small bike sealants. Of couse you need wheels with schrader valves and I found it easier to load the sealant to the tube off the wheel before fitting, as I can also gauge how much sealant is in tube.
Its a pretty cool project and product. Cant wait to see v2 and the revisions of it being better. For sure making a kick starter would help advertising and give out review samples.
Looks a great kit , just makes you want to get out and ride your bike …..if the rain would stop 🚲👍
I've tried most the kits since around 2013 ,and i always ALWAYS keep returning to my favourite 250w front hub motor on a nice retro mod hardtail 😅🤟💯 ,you get a beautiful machine weighing under 50Lbs which you can easily pedal on the flat without battery 🔋 you get way way way less punctures than rear and no rider weight over the bearing/longevity 👍,and like a little front wheel drive car they love pulling you up hills ,just select a low gear ⚙ and on no5 with you peddling she'll pull you up a hill while you smile 😃 🇬🇧🙏😇🤟💯
Awesome piece of kit!! It Literally turns it into an AWD/2WD MTB!!!
Nice one mate great bit of kit 👍
Raleigh stow e way rear hub .two weeks after purchase needed a puncture repair in the rear no thorns or nails or anything through the tire 😞 just the tube gave way .Good call on the decent tire and tube on the driven wheel Looks a great kit for the money

Did YOU! fix puncture? 😮
Awesome vid Andy 🤟💯🙏🇬🇧🤠
ALL i ever did for hub motors to make it water resilient was to hot glue all around the cable access via the axle , its prob partially sealed anyway but its a peace of mind for me
excellent idea , do they come in rear wheel version ? and higher power ?
I like the look of the ez rider kit, simple and it provides just that little bit of extra power to take the effort out of regular type commuter cycling. Does it have a torque or cadence sensor?
i bet that kit is easy to modify so the hubs on a rear wheel and extend the throttle cable and mount the battery/controller unit to the rear post or on a pannier rack
if the bike can still be folded, this would be a boon for a Brompton because they are a little light at the front.
You just cant go wrong 🤠😍🇬🇧🙏💯
Definitely 💯 nice 👌 bit a kit
I'm not worried about ebike batteries catching on fire. I've been buying e-bikes from when you were building bikes in your shed, and i own 3 at the moment 😂😊👌🏾 I better leave my email with Kirby website
I've just finished planning my 1st build. It's a dual 1500 48v hardtail. My son has been eyeballing my deliveries (I'm not beginning the build until I have everything) and asking questions. He's not having a mad bike yet. We live near Steve and use some of the same places to ride, you’ve been there too. Do you reckon this kit will be enough for my lad to get on ok with?
Battery can cope with consistent + 40C temperatures out in Cyprus for example? Performance & safety?
How does the suspension fork perform with all the added weight?
Looks great Andy, how much is the kit?
Fab kit! I live in a very hilly area, would this manage 10-20% inclines?
What is the life of the EZ battery - how many years before a replacement battery is required?
Can those types of battery’s be charge with solar panels?
Do you know if a light like that is compatible with the Klickfix system? And where to buy? Very similar to that, but possibly not quite the same...and where to buy. A powerful light attached to the front instead of basket (originally was conceived for it) seems like a not bad idea 💡. Klickfix Rixen &Kaul
Can you add a extra battery for longer range
Isn’t your shared paths walk icon the right drive on the left?
Cool kit but how can i get one for my MTB at my location... Nigeria. ?
I think its great especially i just got that very same bike after Xmas on discount. Was $350 i got it for$128. That was all i had it was a blessing. And i have been thinking about E bike because its getting difficult to ride the bike and need the assist. So if i can hopefully save up i can just get that kit. I suffer from nerve damage in my neck and back and its getting more difficult as time goes on. I cant afford a car but i got the bike on sale and hoe when i save some $ i can do the same with the kit. So if there is a raffle by chance for a promo on your debut please let me know. Thank you sincerely Steven Loriot
Waiting on my email, In the meantime I'm willing to test it back and forth to my allotment with a trailer loaded up with 40KG 😂
How many kits are in the 1st drop, want to pre-order so I dont miss out.
Could be a winner. Similar to Swytch for about half the price and presumably a much quicker lead time to order one?

And Andy will talk to anyone on the phone 📱 to help them out, or his mate Dude who likes stuff 🤟👍 proper moody geezers the pair of em stand up guys 😮,forget about it 🤟💯🙏🇬🇧
Hi Andy, Where's the link for the previous video
Would you consider kit that consists of motor with wheel, main unit, and throttle only? For people who'd like to use it via throtthle exclusively?
Why not do a Lifepo4 option? An extra 500g or so not gunna tip it over the edge.
I'm wondering what the "Right to repair" policy will be on this , Such as will parts be available that commonly wear and or schematics to help engineer users diagnose and repair? , Will you be able to read certain data from the device such as BMS statistics to check the health of the battery etc.
Any info on the range Would it handle 13 km commute fairly flat
How long to get a battery from kirbebike to UK please?
Could you add this kit to an e bike so that you have dual motor ebike
are these kits EPAC stamped
wonder if i could fit to one of my unicycles?

Yeah still got it, its a really useful little bike.
I'm disabled and can't walk far at all now so i'm always on my bike, so this would be ideal for me especially as i struggle to climb even small hills without my legs fatiguing, this made it look like a doddle. Will you be selling only the full bike with Kirbebike EZ Rider Kit when you bring it out, or would it be possible to put the Kirbebike EZ Rider Kit on my diamondback mountain bike and if yes, what will the price difference be? Cheers.

The EZ Rider kit is for fitting to an existing bike, I believe the price they are aiming for is around £450 for the kit (No bike included)

@@alanmuir9768 Thanks. My reluctance to get one is how to fit it correctly without f'ing it up and wasting money i've had to save up. Is the motor inside the axle of the wheel? Would you say it's a complex job to complete assembling it so it'll function properly? Ta.

@@MahatmaLevolence I've not used this particular kit as it's not out yet. But it comes with a front wheel which had the motor built in as part of the hub. you add a tyre and fit the new wheel to your bike. The battery pack and controller is an all in one which just mounts to the handle bars and a cable runs down to the hub, There are two different type of pedal assist sensors that come with it if I remember correctly, A split ring sensor for easy fitting and a "better" quality one that needs the crank arm off but either will work for you. Andy did publish a video on assembly.

@@alanmuir9768 Thanks for bothering to reply. I have a quick release front wheel on my mountain bike, does this mean i'll just swap the two out and hook it up? Sounds a bit too straight forward tbh. Thanks again.

@@MahatmaLevolence Should be almost as simple as that, There a few other bit but should be about 15 minutes in total, I'll try tag you in the other video if you haven't seen, If it doesn't work it was on this channel about 4 weeks ago
Based in manchester and the absolute roaster of building landlord for the media company I work at has just banned ebikes of any ilk from using the onsite secure lockup. Given about 20 of us two weeks notice to start using somewhere else (there is no where else) you'd think after covid office landlords would want to be a bit more careful about telling tenants what they can and can't do. Get the impression this is going to become a bit of a trend. Going to give this kit ago and see if I can get away with just whipping it off round the corner and sticking it in my bag before gettiing on to site.

Insurance companies are requiring chargers for electric cars are in the open and 7 metres from the nearest building and that an RCD is fitted and checked every six months. I expect your roaster landlord is facing similar issues
@tiptester

@@steveelkins52 which would be understandable but the lockup is in an internal courtyard of the building with no electrical points. Assuming people start locking up on the street to random lamp posts etc all the move is doing is getting people to chuck their batteries into their bags and sticking them under their desks. So they've gone from a known risk they could easily plan for to an unknown one.
Is it faster than 15mph if so ide order one

If Kirbebike cannot be bothered to reply to queries on here, the original post, or the chat-room, they aren't very good at PR, and won't sell very many!

Can the light on the front be turned on and off ??
Does it come with thru axle wheel version ? Qr is a bit old. If it were thru axle be way better.
How would this kit work for a heavier guy? Basically, I’ve gone to pot as I’ve aged 🫤
