@@mikekaze7175 at face value the lyrics talk about someone who's running out of time and missing that special someone. Running out of time being suicide, but if you dig deeper you can interpret it in many ways. I don't speak japanese so I'm just going off the vibe of the song and the translated lyrics

Also, while "hanashi" can mean stories, I think the broader meaning of "conversation" fits more here. interesting tidbit: in the last version of the chorus, "tsumaranai" is pronounced "kudaranai". I thought this was pretty neat.

I know it's a 2 year comment, sorry for the necro. Sato said she watched The Virgin Suicides movie and was inspired by that. Quick summary that hopefully doesn't spoil it: It's a story about some neighborhood teen boys who are obsessed with a group of sisters. The boys completely objectify the sisters, not really seeing them as human. Meanwhile the sisters live a completely different life than what the boys think. With that context you can probably come to your own conclusions. After watching The Virgin Suicides myself, my opinion is that it talks about depression, suicide, and lust. I also like to think it's two people, one person desperately wants to live despite the weight of depression on them. While the other person is only interested in the superficial aspects of the depressed person.
